Yes to all accounts. But only in registered brothels or through registration, I don't think they should be allowed to street walk.

They're not hurting anyone so why is it a crime?
It's not like you can accidentally walk into a brothel.

If brothels are inspected then you remove illegal workers, drug addicts, trafficked girls etc and ensure a safe working environment for both girls and customers. Of course it should be regulated, what insane person would want women working in an unregulated industry without the protection it offers?

Yes it should be taxed. We tax yoga instructors, masseurs, people who dance around with magic crystals so why not prostitutes? It's a job after all.

That's how they deal with it here. The focus is harm minimisation for the (generally) women involved in the trade. There's a reason it is the world's oldest profession and it is always going to happen.

I would be in favor of it being legal under the right circumstances that would include health checks. Here in the US the only legal prostitution is in the State of Nevada in legal brothels. In Nevada it is NOT legal in the counties where Las Vegas and Reno are. State-wide there are only about 15 licensed brothels. (Not very many.) There is little competition for legal prostitution and it has become very expensive. I know a guy who lives near 2 of the ranches and he says a "good deal" would be $1400 for one hour. It that is a "good deal" I don't know what normal would be. Apparently in the north part of the state and more to the east, away from the larger cities, it is less expensive.

The places in Nevada where prostitution is legal are very safe for sex work. The women are paid and protected. They are frequently tested for STDs and men who get rough are banned. If it was made a state or local decision (like in Nevada) or decriminalized, it would be better for both the girls and the guys who solicit them.

When you analyze all of the separate components to an act of prostitution, none of those components are illegal. It's only when you combine those components that the "bigger picture" comes into view, which is why it's been criminalized. by the way I voted YES
