It's coming, well, probably. I don't care whether or not you want to believe it, but the #1 issue in November 2026 looks like it's going to be Health Insurance Affordability. The GOP congressmembers facing reelection need a plan, and if they don't get one running before January, then it's likely going to be the reason they lose in November. I'm not going to say the democrat's plan is a good one. It's probably not that good of one, to be honest. But it's a plan that is palatable until a reform can be made. So, for Trump supporters, be aware that come January 2027, your congressional majority may be gone. And it's the fault of your elected leaders.

6 moyou are right, insurance and food prices and jobs are major issues.
Democrats original plan blew up... obamacare... well know that. So yes they should do what mandami did, promise a bunch they cannot deliver and then blame someone else and make someone else in the future pay for it. that always works. So many are dependent upon govt for food (e. g. including disease creation) and for disease management (drugs, medical), govt has them trapped. That is obvious in my state.
Trump will have to pull a rabbit out of his hat, he's trying and knows the issues, but it's difficult to pull off in short time. Why he's so stiff with anyone challenging him (Marjorie... although it's his personality as well). His main tactic will be to lie but we've been in this cycle of the "govt says this and reality is that" for long enough, people know.
Enjoy your superbowl... have some doritos, wash down with some coka cola or sprite, eat some wings and maybe for dessert, some donuts from the local shop. Very healthy and American.
The blue wave will come in if not this time then after and sheppart the AI robots into the workforce and create guaranteed income, guaranteed housing, etc.. It will be exciting times in USA.

6 moI mean... Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. is doing His best to make healthcare drop in demand in the first place and as far as I know, He's doing a good job. As for the prices, we could expect Trump, a proper businessman and a capitalist, to break up some monopolies and price conspiracies in this field to fix the non-competition issue. It's just there are still many even more urgent matters to attend to after the last Demo (n) crat administration.
However, I don't think it's going to be much of an issue, at least not for the MAGA movement. The non-MAGA GOP representatives will likely have to be swapped for some MAGA-aligned ones, but other than that, it's going to be just fine. The Demo (n) crats have dealt wounds so deep to the US society and economy I don't think anyone except for their brainwashed CNN/MSNBC victims will even consider trusting them for a long, long time.

Trump is not a capitalist. Capitalist want government out of the free market, Trump is using government money to invest in businesses, that's socialism. Starting a sovereign wealth fund, also socialism. Telling Nvidia they can sell to China as long as they give Trump 25%, also socialism. All these things are the opposite of capitalism and are eroding the free market economy. If he was a "proper businessman" he would know that nothing good comes from government meddling in the free economy and private business.
1.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Clock is ticking on Pres. PiggyPedo, and he knows it. Think he is going to become more extreme, as the walls are closing on him, …especially given upcoming Epstein info, and you know how he likes to act out. His personality disorder is amplified by his obvious mental decline, (and he looks like sh*t these days, tweeting like a manic mean girl, falling asleep everyday) … they are predicting that there’s no way we’re making it to 2028 at this breakneck speed of destruction, so hopefully he bites the bullet sooner rather than later—and when he goes down for the count, he’s gonna go down hard.
I have champagne in the crisper for that glorious day!! An ancient decrepit angry wind bag, caked in orange crust, a sadistic self obsessed bloated grifter!! If the blue tsunami does take place, hopefully it’ll be the senate and the house, so they can finish the job and impeach the mutherfu*ker AND convict him this time!!! I hope he lives long enough to attend his trial.02 Reply- 6 mo

Democrats forget how high prices shot up when they ran the government and the number of small businesses that closed. President Trump is addressing the affordability issue by lowering energy costs and the price of groceries. The price of prescription drugs has also been lowered.. Inflation has been between 2.5% and 3% and Trump is working to make it lower. The vast number of Americans are happy with their health insurance and there is talk of extending the subsidies at least a year until a better solution can be developed.
Hopefully the Republican can pick up some seats. The Supreme Court ruled that Texas can redistrict their districts. This will work in favor of Republicans.

Did you know that even in Missouri, people have had it with the Republicans? ↗ 300,000 people (one in 20, iirc) signed a petition to force the GOP to put their gerrymandering up for a state-wide vote. (They only needed 106,000 signatures.)
- 6 mo
Doubtful, since no red states have actually put it to a vote. Those that have were all blue states and all voted to let the democrats gerrymander it. You can't ignore the fact that the red states are not willing to put it to a vote, maybe they feel like they'll lose the vote if they do.

That's what makes the Mamdani and don meeting so interesting.

6 moBefore Obamacare, my family policy premium was $270 with a deductible of $1000. After, it went to $650 and $6000. Insurance companies want government mandates which is why they say premiums will jump. Get Government out of healthcare and let the supply/demand dictate pricing. If you let people control their money again, you will see prices fall.

That's one part I think is worth saving. Mandating that everyone must partake is not.
- 6 mo
The ultimate GOP plan is to let the market control itself. Remove subsidies. The current plan, based on how ingrained ACA currently is, is to keep high deductible plans and HSA contributions. I do not know if pre-existing conditions would remain. I think that's a bipartisan issue though. But we also believe those that utilize the healthcare system more, should pay more.

To alleviate the risk of having to cover an expense SHOULD something bad happen.

Fine. Should I be expected to pay for it?

6 moNo it’s not the fault of the Reich Wing’s elected leaders. The candidates openly ran on a toxic platform to destroy the economy and stoke inflation.
The MAGA filth who gleefully voted them into office are the morons we need to blame.

I don't think it is the fault of the leaders, but that of the followers...

6 mo"Blue" gave us unaffordable Obamacare. What makes you think they have a better idea now? Even if they do, a single issue won't change the balance of power.
02 Reply- 6 mo
@Tamera952 Obamacare is heavily government subsidized. I won't even attempt to try to bother to educate you about tariffs. Stay in your bubble of ignorance, please. See you at the midterms.
