So for these freaks, it's not about being anti-gun, it's more about where the bullets land. That might explain why they want to abolish prisons.

Republicant, Democrank, Green, Independent, Socialist, Libertarian, Constitution, Pothead…do not ultimately matter. Opinion has no legal force until it is embodied in law where it is then supposed to lose its politics. I am speaking to "each and every free able-bodied", "citizen of the respective states" , and "residents therein" of the USA (search those phrases): The founding fathers wanted you to have weapons and be expertly trained in their use to use against invaders, rebellions, and a corrupt government when (not only if), necessary. This is in the main body of the constitution (Article I, Section 8) and specifically the 2nd amendment, reveals the constitutional framework assumed an armed and trained populace. This has been confirmed by centuries of court decisions (Militia Acts 1792 for example). Although, things have eroded and reformed a little bit and also the potential participants have expanded (many once forbidden from militias, no longer legally are). This is not only rights, but also duty (1792). This is not my opinion, (I’ve intentionally not revealed my opinion here), this is constitution, constitution amendments, courts, law, and the intent of our nation's founders. If you don't like it, petition for change of law then vote.
And, have you noticed that it's mostly THEM doing all the killing? I seem to recall, during the blm riots, how they shot and killed a black security guard who was just doing his job! He wasn't OD-ing on fentanyl!! He wasn't arguing with the police!! We're SUPPOSED to feel sorry for a druggie that OD'd and was already on his way out when the cops decided to detain him!! Let's put up statues in honour of St. George!! Praise his holiness and cover everything in sight with graffiti worshipping this black man because of his death!! But, not a FUCKING WORD was said by them for the black security guard they, themselves, gunned down and murdered in cold blood!!

Some like Beto want total confiscation while others want a ban on assault rifles yet just like that idiot on the SCOTUS that couldn’t define a woman they can’t define an assault rifle either. A few are actually pro second amendment but they’re very few. I look at it this way. Democrats as a whole are constantly attacking the second amendment and try to disarm me in every way they can. It’s non stop. You can count on it as surely as the sun rises. Republicans have never tried to disarm me or even threaten to. In history the first thing a tyrant or dictator does is disarm the people. Makes me ask who are the true tyrants?
Banning bump stocks (Trump, which was later overturned), banning armor-piecing ammunition (Regan), Banning guns a metal-detector could not detect (Regan again), Banning general possession of firearms in and around schools (Bush), banning import of several foreign semi-automatic rifles "because they aren't suitable for sporting purposes" (Bush again), and quite a few more. And that is just republican presidents
I believe that the staunchest anti-gun people have a little secret hidden in the bedroom. I bet you would be hard-pressed to find a Hollywood liberal that doesn't have a 9 mm tucked away somewhere. They just don't want you to have a gun. And that makes perfect sense to me, because I want to be the only person with a gun.

Sensible Democrats believe guns should be kept out of nutjubs' hands, and the number and the amount and kind of ammunition reduced to a sane number.(I think sportspeople and hunters should have guns, but an agreed-upon number which isn't ridiculously excessive.)

You're right they do talk about things that will help them politically. However, that does not change the negative outcomes for us non politicians and it doesn't wipe away the hypocrisy OP brings up.
They have been fear mongered into believing guns are useless. Since the vast majority of Democrats and liberals live in big cities they have never met a bear or a mountain lion in the countryside or they would change their minds real quick.
Most Democrats in my experience love handouts and being controlled. They see themselves as intellectuals but would prefer their hand to be held through life.
I'm a Conservative and I hate when Americans own guns, like the one SHE'S holding, for recreational shooting. There is no reason a civilian needs a gun like that. Shoot a pistol/rifle or find another hobby.
They hate that citizens have guns because it limits the scope of government the more people have guns and increasing the size of government is the primary component of the DNC platform.
And yet the United States has the largest percentage of it's population incarcerated and we're the least safe developed nation in the world. It's not the people, it's the guns.
