The funny thing is that the French also feel that Americans hate them.
Try to guess my position 😂

They'll both soon be conquered 💪💪💪⬜️⬜️⬜️♂️♂️♂️☦️☦️☦️🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🚀🚀🚀 ㅤ
https://www.youtube.com/embed/ukPO0PvjY1U In your dreams, you will not even pass Poland and Romania, we will shot you even in your but holes from evry damn corner of the country, land, hills, mountain we will give you hell.
Every dot will hide our guns and bulets and bombs.
Russia will never ever pass East Europe ever again.
If Napoleon need to fight his way to Moscow/Russia, now France will have an open gate right to Moscow from East Eruoepe!
Yeah, I read that 70% of French people hate us because of Trump. But at the same time, they aren't boycotting us like those stupid Canadians. French tourists are still visiting the US. But interestingly enough, French-Canadians love us, except in Montreal.
European people in general seem to hate us, though others hate us too.
Though in regards to the French, maybe Paris is different, but in less touristy areas, they love us, because they know that only people who are genuinely interested in and love French culture and people, visit less touristy parts of France. In Guadeloupe, we didn't hide that we were Americans, and no one was assholish or hateful towards us.
I think EVERYONE hates the French. But usually these people have only been to Paris or only hate them because of what they've heard/read. I'm sad to admit, I used to be one of those people. Well I didn't HATE, but I assumed French people are assholes, because of what I heard, but I still respected them and gave them a chance and even defended some of their behavior. But actually, when I read people's complaints, it's mostly their own fault that they were treated badly in France. But from my personal experience and what I've seen on TV, I think most of the assholeness is in Paris. But also, French chefs/waiters bitching if you "change their recipe", French people request this too and get the same treatment.
But anyways, from my personal experience with French people (you've read my posts), I'm very confused why they have a reputation for being assholes and ill-mannered.
What do you think of the French basketball player who gifted a teenager a bunch of shoes?
The number of particularly Paris, Nice and Bordeaux locals my husband and I have befriended over the years has been steadily increasing.
Yes, we have all discussed how Americans have been negatively generalized by lots of French people.
Our French friends have also mentioned that many French people are aware that Americans often see French people as pretentious.
We just all laugh about the remarks that come to light.
My impression from some that I have had visit my restaurant is that they seem stuck up and a prude. Very picky about their food and speak very sharply to the servers and staff. Don't get me wrong we have also had many who are as nice and pleasant as ever.

I don't know why any American would think the French people do not like Americans. It was the French that came to the aid of the original 13 states to defeat the British in the American Revolution. And it was primarily US troops that liberated France from the Germans in both World Wars.
Of course, many Americans do not know history, and base their beliefs only on what they see and hear in social media. Maybe some of the statements reported by Macron might make people think that the French people dislike Americans.
Don't know about USA people.
In Romania all intelligent and educated people LOVE France people and France, some of use even learned franch in schools and we know more or less.
We see France like our big sister nation, whitch we couldn't never exist if she wasn't protecting us and fight with and for us.
But mobs and russian orcs, see you as an imperialistic country that want to turn us in a franch colony. (Whitch i will be MORE then happy to happen, eighter USA or France one will be grate).
You don't wanna colonize anymore? Ah giving up your present day colonies/overseas departments?
@KostasKouvalis France Guiana, voted to still be part of France and some others as well.
The thing is, the intellectuals in Romania are more happy to welcome you all.
If you suport our independence is good as well and we are more then happy and grateful to you for doing that.
But when it come to become part of France (still the educated people), we will be more then happy to accept it because France is a evolved country, civilized, with laws that are respected comparing with Romania.
And been a latin nation will make the assimilation very easy.
The only sensitive sport will be the religion and nothing else. We are Orthodox, will you are Catholics.
But already we have 30% of our language franch, so increasing that % will not harm us.
The architecture in Romania is very similar with Franch one often time.
My dad us to talk franch, my sister as well, mom russian and me English and german (+ all romanian native language).
Our constitution is "coppy - paste" from France, the frag is inspirated from France.
Our curent president been educated in Paris, many artist and politicians had study in France.
We have a big comunity in France of romanians that don't want to return and want to be asimilated and some other get even in the Franch army of foregnites legion.
France is like a cruch fro Romania that alwase friend zoned us.
@KostasKouvalis
Some of its territories have been French for longer than Nice, for example. If we follow your logic, Brittany and other regions should also be independent.
Furthermore, as has been said, they voted to remain French. For example, when the Comoros voted for independence, they got it.
What would be a disgrace for my France is to want to conquer another territory in today's world.
Why? I would be happy if Trump acquired Greenland😂
I would only worry about hostile locals
@KostasKouvalis Be sure they will be, they will come even in USA and give you hell like no other 11 September for that.
Greenland want to stay with Europe and as part of Europe and they want to stay in Europe.
Because THEY WANT to still be part of Europe then nobady will touch them.
Yeah. My dad likes the idea of Trump colonizing and developing Gaza, but do you know how many terror attacks there would be?
If you propose, and we independently vote, will be no problem.
It will be pure self-determination of the people.
I think it will be a 50-50, but i may be even more realistic and say my weat dream is imposible, because of the people voting more fore a independent Romania. Don't minde to be independent, but i want something much more for my country then what it can achive by itself.
A Roman Empire or something, but Romania is not imperialistic, so is imposible and even from me.
That why i push for unification, with stronger nation or EU to become one federation.
EU as federation is very, very posible.
@KostasKouvalis Israel will take care of Gaza. That terrorist's state will disappear from the face of Earth.
That would be nice. But how will they ensure no one will retaliate?
@KostasKouvalis They can't the muslims in Gaza are brain wash to hate Jews. They are arabs and don't know they migrated ther in centuary 7 after the jews was already there.
Ah what if an atomic bomb was dropped on them? You think they would become pacifists, or their culture is too different and they would seek revenge?
@KostasKouvalis
1. An atomic bomb will affect more nations around then just the Gaza people.
2. The muslim world will become even more hostile, considering there is a nation who own atocmic bomb as well and suport Gaza, Hamas, Palestine. Pakistan
3. Terorists attack will become more offten, muslims are not an isolated civilization like Japan who was blinded by their own acivments, muslims have a history and a big nationalistic feelings, they will take even more then atomic bomb to calm them down.
So i will say not, atomic bomb i don't think will work on them.
Yeah. We'd have to make sure there's no one left to retaliate
@KostasKouvalis Ocupide Gaza with other armys as well USA and other then Israel (who is the native people in the region).
Build the nation from ash and educate what is left, like NAZY Germany.
I can't speak for the French, but emotionally mature people are able to distinguish between 'America' and 'Americans'.
Most of the Western World despises America right now. Global diplomatic 'alliances', for want of a better word, are being betrayed capriciously. You tariff Canadian imports because a single province publishes footage of Reagan's pro-trade stance? You abandon Ukraine and negotiate like Putin's lapdogs to re-establish the Soviet Union in Eastern Europe? And the sad thing is that it's not really healable... we may grow to like you, but no-one will ever trust the USA again. You have ceded the position of global hegemon to China by choice and will never, ever get that back.
Americans are lovely people. I have close family friends in Chicago. Intelligent, worldly, open to new experiences... genuinely great people to have the pleasure of knowing. So, yes, we still love Americans, on average!!
I'm Australian, for reference.
You have it pretty much right. Our MAGA filth has just deeply weakened the USA. Forever. There is no coming back from our "NAZI" era. At least not to what we were before. The world just learned some valuable information about "America". We can't be trusted.
Judging from what I experienced in real life and not stupid shit I read on the internet, then I've only met a couple of French people. I generally don't go where there's much tourists. About 18 years ago I was a doorman at one of the live music bars I worked at. This young French woman came up to the door and she was really sweet and nice, so I let her in for free to see the bands and she kissed me on the cheek. I must have blushed and turned red because she started giggling. She was beautiful and dressed rather strangely, wearing a long dark purple velvet coat with lots of buttons. Her clothes kind of looked like a woman's from the late 1800's, not revealing but very form-fitting. I regret not getting her phone number to this day.
Yeah, the french have this sort of roundabout, underhanded way of welcoming you from what I remember from my time in Paris. They’ll let you in, encourage you to speak french and take part in their culture, then when your french is poor or you’re just not french enough, they switch to English, and get a bit condescending the entire time they interact with you, which becomes smaller and smaller amounts of time the longer it goes on.
Do you live in france?
Were you born there?
So how often do you see or interact yourself with non-french folks?
So that’s exclusively your personal experience. That wasn’t what I asked about.
I asked how often you interact with, or how often you witness others interacting with foreigners who don’t speak French.
no but they don't like the current politics to some extent. I suspect many french don't like their own politics, of what I've seen.
reading B. B. story is something... she was fined more than once for speaking her mind... like about the muslim invasion. France is jacked up maybe more than usa.
im sure you all have your reasons, but I don't agree with france on that at all.
Americans are ambivalent to the French. We were grateful for the French's help in the revolution. Even though we know you didn't really do it for us. We hope you are grateful in ww2 and ww1. Even though we didn't really do it for you. In a much more modern sense, you're an ally. But that only extends as far as yours and our interests go. You're an ocean away, but it might as well be another planet away. I never dislike anyone unless they give me an expressed reason to dislike them. But you guys have your culture and we have ours. And ours isn't changing. So what do we really have to talk about?
I get the sense that they do, but likewise, I also have to wonder if it's ideologies within France, or it's just hatred of Donald Trump.
From what I've seen of you, my assumption is that you like Americans. Don't know what your feelings about Trump or American politics are.
It escalated when W. Bush jr. wanted to drag NATO and everybody else into his idiotic war against Iraq and France clearly positioned themselves against it. I still remember the rednecks stomping on French cheese and pouring French wine into the gutters. Too bad they did not listen to the French administration, at least hindsight is always 20/20, I guess.
They're lucky I don't remember that. But to be fair, WE would need to defend Montenegro, so...
Also, fellow NATO nations are under no obligation to act if another NATO country is the agressor
You were five years old.
Not sure what you're trying to say with Montenegro, I can't really image a scenario where that corner of Europe would become interesting to an invader.
@DryGermanGuy,
Yeah, that's the period when our moronic redneck war mongers decided they wouldn't use the term French fries. So the term Freedumb Fries was born.
@julie07 I was in Paris several years ago and prior to that, I was in London. I did not like the British because they seemed to be very rude and resentful of anyone not 'British'. Going on the Paris, the French were very helpful and polite to me everywhere I went, and I would go back to Paris in a heartbeat.
I spent six weeks in France this year, four in Paris and two in Arles, Aix, and Nice. I didn't experience any hostility because I was American. They hate Trump, but most MAGA-heads don't travel abroad.
If someone did show up wearing a MAGA hat or something similar, I have no idea how the French would react. They wouldn't be sympathetic.
They do feel that everyone dislikes them (in general, until they get to know someone personally and figure out that there's a world outside of Americamnesia) To compensate, they label it: "envy".
The few more educated ones actually relocate to France (or elsewhere) 😝
We're pretty sure the French dislike everyone. But you did pull our colonial ass out of the fire a time or two in history. And you sent us a nifty statue. So you can't hate us that much.
Seems like repaying our debt to France was the only decent thing to do. It took a while but we eventually made ourselves useful.
The French don't "hate" Americans, they just think they're dumb and unsophisticated. For at least those who voted for Trump, that's mostly true. What I found in France (and I'm there now) is that Parisians will hate anyone, even the French, if you're not from Paris. But all the French people I've met have been very lovely folks. Other than not knowing how to "queue up properly" and driving like freaking maniacs, they're quite nice.
No, I always knew it was the loud, brash obnoxious types they dislike.
I think I have a lot in common with more European social etiquette, therefore I had no issue in Paris.
I've spent a decent amount of time in France for work.
If you meet the locals halfway... learn just a bit of the language, they mostly wonderful !!!
I have never been to France. The rumors I hear is that the French in Paris aren't fond of tourists but they are nicer in the countryside and small towns.
I don't think it's limited to Americans. We just seem more likely to erroneously take it personally
French dislike everyone, Americans must feel somehow special. XD
There could be a remnant of Charles de Gaulle affecting attitudes. :)
Nobody who comes to France from the USA cares about Charles de Gaulle, and the kids who travel here for school don't even know who he was.
I do hear that even the French dislike Parisian people... lmao
Seems like they sneer at our lack of sophistication. I promise I won't sneer when Muslims erase all their sophistication, Allahoux Aquebar.
France had changed a lot when it comes to it's people, morals and values...
Only the great monuments had remained...
By the way i'm not American and you know it 🙂
In my experience as an American, French or either/or. There is not middle ground.
I think most of the world does not like Americans right now the way our president treats the rest of the world. He scares a lot of us.
I think it's the opposite. I think Americans generally dislike the British. They never bothered to consider that we'd all be speaking the British version of English were it not for the French.
We do not give a rat's what anyone thinks about us.
Personally, I like the French, even if they are black.
Probably because most Americans interact with P*risians. And we all know they're the most insufferable pieces of shit on Earth.
In general, people think French people are racism, in a way
I'm American, I don't even think about the French. I'm not for or against you, just don't think about it.
No, Americans dislike the French because they are self-important and arrogant. They are the opposite of what makes people likeable.
Everybody liked us in Paris They were nice except for one taxi driver had an attitude
Yes, in both France and certain areas of Canada
ALMOST EVERYBODY dislikes Yankees for being fatnoxious.(Fat and obnoxious.)

I don't think about French people at all.
all foreigners hate Americans.
If they are White, no.
Americans don't give the French much thought
Everyone hates the French
French hate everyone
