Do you think it's time for a break up in the United States?

Do you think left and right wingers should separate from each other and form independent federations? It would not be groups of states, just regions that subscribe to right or left wing ideologies. If Democrats win the midterms or the presidential election of 2028, it will certainly be time for that. Even if it takes some guns and ammunition, I think it may be time. What do you think?

I'm a nationalist so I think having more state sovereignty is a good idea. But do keep in mind that currently you are the largest military super power and for the most part that's a good thing considering who the other major player is. So I do think it could work if done well and would lead to a desirable outcome, but I don't think its the most desirable outcome you can go for.

Instead I think its better to reduce the power that the federal government has over the states. And then let those states organize themselves how their citizens see fit. Ideally with a more direct form of democracy and definitely not with something so shit as a two party system. If you do that the states will automatically organize themselves in ways that work for them, with some being more left wing and some being more right wing. People then move to the state that fits them.

So to me the main reason you even feel like breaking up is because two radically different world views in our generation are forced to share a federation of nations (which is really what the united states is to me), it makes more sense to make those decisions on a smaller scale so they can self organize.

I think we should break up. Let's have all the right-wingers take all the shitty flyover states, and we can take California, Oregon, Washington, and some of the nicer places in this country. You know, the ones that the right-wingers don't appreciate and are constantly making nasty comments about. For instance, they can have places like Texas and Florida and Louisiana and Mississippi and all that garbage. We get the good places.

Seriously though, the best thing about breaking up is we don't have to get into a war with these people, and that's the real potential problem here. Each day when I wake up and I find that Trump has just done something even more provocative and crazy, I feel like it's getting closer and I don't want this to happen.

We are like a married couple whose marriage has dissolved, but they're still living in the same house and fighting like cats and dogs. It's time for us both to leave the house and go our own ways. Our democratic experiment of 250 some odd years has failed. It is time we faced that and dealt with the aftermath.

1. Who would you prevent from voting? How would you accomplish that?
2. If the people agreed to a split, there would be no civil war. Czechoslovakia I did a successfully.
3. If we made the split, we could still be allies and join together like NATO if we had to fight a world war.

1. That is gonna take a long conversation but I think for starters people with no job who don't own any land or take part in the military is a good place to begin the discussion.

2 and 3. Dude, do you really not see the difference between America who essentially IS NATO and a tiny country? You do realize America was there right? The people never voted. It was two politicians, USAID, and a bunch of "experts" sent there by us.

It's completely dishonest and in bad faith to compare too a giant farm splitting in two to the country that runs the world after stopping the most powerful ones from taking over all of Europe and deciding not to do the same when it would have been a trivial task is nuts.

The reason there'd be a world war is because there'd be no incentive for smaller countries not to be invaded by larger ones. America created a system where everyone's financial well being is tied together in such a way that it's within most people's best interest not to start wars.

Think about all the fighting we did to make our currency powerful. We didn't invent that lol. That's been a thing since before money.

People want to see this country fail so bad ND they have no idea that the reason they have clean water, a house that isn't made of asbestos, electricity that runs smoothly enough for your $1500 pc to run reliably for 10 years, fruit, drinks and pastries from all over the world available no further than 4 miles apart. If you can prove the police mistreated you, you get money, if you prove the government mistreated you, you get money, if your poor, you still go to school and can go to the hospital.

This is the most privledged generation, actually fuck that. A majority of the people living in this country are living as individuals, with more privledged than arguably anyone in the world has lived with in 99.9999% of history.
