Since I assume and hope this isn't even a slightly serious question, I just feel like mentioning the irony of my dad actually having found a cat in his back yard a couple years ago and later he found out that the family who lost it here moved to Texas and she escaped while they left the door open during moving. They didn't go to jail, so just to pretend I am answering this question as if it were remotely serious, I'll say no.

Nothing. Cats tend to have multiple owners and yours is probably with one of them. Perhaps one of them moved (took the cat with them) or is on vacation (put the cat in a kennel that takes care of pets for people on vacation); which is why it hasn't come back.

You need to learn to never let a cat outside for any reason. It can seriously endanger their life. If you want to have a cat as a pet, then take care of it like you would anything else that you value. If you can't do this and don't have pets.
