Trending & News Supreme Court is expected to take away Tariff Power from Trump and return it to Congress, where it belongs. What happens?

Drumpf’s tariffs have cut US trade deficit in half in just a few months and they’re expected to keep dropping.
If congress wanted to achieve that, nothing was stopping them. If they regain control and remove the tariffs, the economy worsens and they can expect to be voted out for obvious corruption. We’re already on a better path. If they do anything but improve it more, the people won’t stand for it. Most of us anyway. Dummies like you will cheer because you refuse to accept the facts. Drumpf’s policies are working. By this time next year, everyone will be seeing the benefit of the tax breaks for working class people. Some will have benefited from the lock on credit card interest. The trade deficit will be lower yet. The GDP will continue to grow. Everyone who doesn’t have TDS will continue to celebrate this administration’s surprising victories. But you’ll continue to ignore the facts and keep telling lies about what has happened, what is happening and what will happen next.
Do you wear the goofy shoes and squeaky nose all the time or just when you’re online? 🤡🤡🤡
Nonsense. The US trade deficit has repeatedly exceeded $100B over the last ten years. Frequently during both Biden’s administration and during Drumpf’s first term. When he took office for this second term it was over $70B. He has cut that in half and expectations are that his tariffs will continue to drive down the US trade deficit.
Most US companies have been absorbing tariffs anticipating a rebate after the Supreme Court affirms the lower courts rulings. The rebates will obviously be disastrous to the administration as its spending is out of control and December's deficit set a record for the largest monthly deficit ever. However, it will be great for businesses who have been borrowing in anticipation of being able to pay it back after the ruling and rebate checks are issued. If the court unexpectantly rules in keeping the tariffs, it will be bad for business and force many businesses into bankruptcy and that's when inflation will skyrocket as businesses will no longer be able to absorb the tariffs anymore.

He has quietly reversed the tariffs to normal by executive order earlier in the week. Probably because the impact it's having on the economy. The ruling is only important for the future. It won't affect what he has already admitted namely that they weren't working as planned.
prices come down? are you shitting me? That's been going on for a while now. And during covid, companies really tested how much they could raise prices and still get people to buy their crap. There's a reason that goods NOT influenced by tariffs at all, are rising too. Corporate greed.
But back on topic. I think if that happens, tariffs would have to be re-negotiated. I guarantee they won't be going away. They have the real numbers. Not the ones fed to the American people by leftists pushing agendas. And the US isn't going to vote against making money.
Trumpy said Trillions would coming in from Tariffs , and only $400 Billion has
@exitseven “Without tariffs, and all of the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS we have already taken in, our Country would be completely destroyed, and our military power would be instantly obliterated,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
So, no, he claimed they had already raised trillions.

The economy goes inot a tail spin. Over 350 billion has ot be returned and the factories that businesses are building in the US will halt construction. The stock market will dive, unemployment will rise and there could be a recession. It is a good thing that the Supreme Court has a conservative majority so hopefully this will not happen.
Lol. Trump will be Steve Martin in the Jerk writing refund checks to all the importers.
Congress itself gave the president powers of tariffs. That has withstood a number of Supreme Courts, both liberal and conservative.
If you don't like it, argue with the Supreme Courts that have allowed it for decades.
SCOTUS has no (no) authority over the executive branch unless Trump permits it. And they have no enforcement authority to enforce rulings. I challenge you to prove me wrong.
Wrong like always
Pretty much ends them , as I presdicted , and you were wrong
They interpret the Constitution and Constitution has authority over Executive Branch
There are about 14 other avenues Trump can take to keep them in place. He just can't call them tariffs anymore. The POTUS has power over trade, as long as he frames it correctly.
Senate votes on removing the supreme Court to prevent them from subverting democracy
That is funny
Unelected buricrats and judges over ruling democracy is oligarchy
I think that's going to depend on the rest of what's in those epstein files 😂
Why is Trump so skinny?
Skinny? He is as big as fat Albert
You’re mad the trade deficit was cut by 1/2, eh.
