I try to eat a balanced diet and I'd say I generally follow official guidelines, but what about you?

I don't pay one bit of attention to it. I never did. I just eat a balanced diet and try to avoid GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, agricultural poisons, and chemical additives.
I figure the USDA is controlled by food producers who insure that their products get promoted.
I don't trust government agencies at all because they work for the same corporations and industries they are supposed to regulate.
I use it to make sure i get a little bit of most food groups in throughout the day, but i don’t follow it closely at all. RFK jr has officially recommended inverting the food pyramid, and i can honestly say that i eat that way more closely. But i am terrible about portion control and counting calories. I would be on the show “My 1000 lbs Life” if i didn’t workout. That’s less hyperbole than you might think.
My diet consists mostly of protein and fiber and a small amount of carbs. Very different from that food pyramid.
Replace beer with long drinks and I think it's my food pyramid.

If what is shown in the picture reflects the official food pyramid, I have doubs about the responsible people's mental and physical health. Set aside the possible good taste of some of those dishes, I see too much sugar, fat and meat, and what's most missing is plain vegetables. Anyway, did I miss something?
I suppose I am following the new US-backed one more closely. Though my vegetable intake is even closer to zero. Also, please tell me the "because it's government-backed You know You can trust it" part was a morbid joke...
well OF COURSE !!
not only the most beautiful pyramids as our heritage but they also gave the dishes too... tamales, tortillas, mole, pozole... tacos, atoles, chocolate...
and many many more
Isn't it missing some bottles at the top? Technically it should apex with Smirnoff.
Overall this past year, I have been paying attention to the food pyramid.
I wouldn't be able to move if I had all this.
Faggots!
Mostly row C (the breakfast), then A, D, and I rarely have stews (does minced meat and cabbage count?)
I thought that word was supposed to offend your side lol
@Kingofkings1992 Not when it's the name of a food and used as such. I did wonder if the site would say anything.
I try to eat a balanced diet like they recommend.
I don't follow any rules, I eat whatever I want, I can't gain weight..
I eat pretty clean anyway but I have been adding more protein to my diet..
Ahhh, the food pyramid.. I think I learned about that in grade school. It never stuck as core learning though.
I like to follow it I like to get my protein I like my vegetables and I like my fruit
Not close. Eat what works for me based on what the earth gives me.
About to the same degree that I would follow a pyramid scheme.
LOL, that's a bullshit pyramid, not a food one.
I have to eat healthy. As for the food guide it depends on who you take to if you should follow it or not.
Wait a second. It's upside down!
Not at all lol
I never do.
Pretty closely.
