According to a story in The New York Times on February 4, “Jeanine Pirro, the U. S. attorney for the District of Columbia, on Monday threatened jail time for anyone who enters the capital with a gun. In remarks on Fox News that could deepen a growing rift between gun owners and the Trump administration, Ms. Pirro declared that if anyone brings ‘a gun into the District, you mark my words, you’re going to jail. I don’t care if you have a license in another district and I don’t care if you’re a law-abiding gun owner somewhere else.’

reality is... there's been executions of people on the right, including attempts on the president.

some might say people on the left have been executed.

some might say it could get worse.

Unless you are working for a law enforcement or government agency, or have a license to carry a handgun that is valid in DC, it has been illegal to carry one there for a long time. Whether you agree with that law or not, that is the law in DC.

Yes, indeed she did. However after many Republican leaders and Second Amendment proponents called her out on this. She has since restated her position with this tweet on X.

“Washington, D. C. law requires handguns be licensed in the District with the Metropolitan Police Department to be carried into our community,” she wrote in a Tuesday morning post on X. “We are focused on individuals who are unlawfully carrying guns and will continue building on that momentum to keep our communities safe.”

I think it's probably unconstitutional to require handguns to be licensed in the district with the police department. I think she got her hand slapped pretty hard as well, and it's just kind to equivocate regarding what she really thinks. Wait and see how what she said doesn't make it any better.

It's also pretty horrible that a lawyer and an attorney general such as this does not even know what the fucking Constitution says about handguns and guns in general. It's like these people never really went to school or something. The truth is they're all scared shitless. The people are gonna finally come after them
