Obviously informing the officer is prudent MOST times - sometimes it makes these psychopaths even more jumpy!!
How can ANY cop support MAGA?

Tell a cop you have a gun for something that has nothing to do with guns and watch him go from reasonable to retarded pretty fucking fast.
I'm just saying, there has been plenty of times I'll invite a cop into my house and we'll talk about my kid sending out nude pictures of a girl at school. I'm probably better off not mentioning I have 4 AR-15's and a couple AK-47's in the back room... BECAUSE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY WE NEED TO TALK.
Same logic with a traffic stop bro. If I'm being stopped for a busted tail light then bringing a gun into the situation just complicates things. Even in a state that requires that shit, I'm keeping my mouth shut, getting my ticket/warning and moving the fuck on. He don't need to know about my guns unless I'm being pulled over for being reported for shooting things out my window or something.
Choosing a candidate or a political party should not be based on a single issue, but people on the left may not see that, because the Democrat Party tries to cobble together a coalition of interests based on diverse single issues.
There are MANY other reasons cops shouldn't support maga
They approach you (or any suspicious threat) with a hand on their gun as basic training.
True but why support legislators who support policies that can get them killed?
Those are just political moves. People trying to move up rarely support what they are supporting.
it would save lives

Are there more police involved shootings in states where there is no duty to inform? I doubt it. So therefore, it doesn't matter.
Ironically, I would guess that cops in liberal states with stricter gun laws are jumpier.
I support 2nd Amendment rights and always have. And that's not a MAGA position. It's based on facts, logic and support for the Constitution. Cops, in general, tend to support 2nd Amendment rights, too.
Common courtesy and respect to inform. Give respect get respect.
Yes. To the death...
@dustybiker2 if I was a young black male I would be VERY HESITANT to tell cops I'm packing legally unless they had body cam, multiple officers on scene, civilian witnesses & I was out of the car & standing with my hands up.
@DrPepper12 Yes. You have a point. So you would risk by carrying.
In concealed carry states the rate of shootings is much lower than other states. It might be the theory of mutual destruction.
Why do republicans like to make statements as if what they say is fact and don't produce proof of those facts? It's interesting.
@dustybiker2. I live in a mionbat state where the gun laws are very strict. I know many police chiefs and I was able to get a concealed carry permit u a lot of people are denied. There is a law that gives an automatic year in jail if you get caught with an unregistered firearm. The is not enforced anymore because 90% of the people arrested were gangbusters so it was racist. There are shooting hmjust about every day.
But why would cops support legislators that support laws that can get them killed?
I have asked several police officers about informing them of concealed carry weapons during traffic stops. I have received answers from “Most Definitely!” To leave them concealed unless asked. To “I handle every stop as if the person is in possession of a firearm!”
I believe in most states. The officer already know if you have a concealed carry permit when they run your license.
As usual, you gaslight everyone. Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut, New Mexico, Colorado, Delaware and Maryland are heavily blue states, yet they have no duty to inform.
If you want to be taken seriously, maybe inaccurately politicizing an issue isn’t the way to go……
You often attempt to manipulate very clear questions. It's funny. Nice try.
@dustybiker2: Aw, can’t handle your fellow lazy leftist’s BS being exposed?
I'm not a dem. You should know that by now.
Probably because a criminal would lie anyway and not say he is armed, so what's the point in having a law like that when only the legal armed citizen who would never attack a cop is the only one who would follow that anyway?
If cops dont act like tyrants they dont have to worry about free Americans using their 2nd amendment rights against tyrants
If is doing some REAL HEAVY LIFTING THETE
Suh da tey on a runny kine
Yet more gun love perversion from the misinterpreted well trained militia thinking they can be judge jury and executioner in non capital "crime" because "fear for life" defence is more important than lives of others.
Bruh, I'm not American. But cops will assume you're armed until they can prove otherwise.
Smart one will. Fact.
"Obviously informing the officer is prudent MOST times - sometimes it makes these psychopaths even more jumpy!!"
Who are the psychopaths?
Cops? ACAB
Cops
I’m in one of those states and we love it. It’s called constitutional carry and it’s to the letter of the second amendment. You’re so quick to say Trump is unconstitutional well so are you when it comes to guns
What does it even matter? Are you intentionally trying to paint yourself as an irrational fool? I hope so, because it’s working. “Guns are scary. People who have them are psychopaths!” What a load of shit
Read slower.
I guess if you hold the simpleton world view that every person with a gun will shoot a cop if stopped then your outrage is justified.
Another swing & a miss!!
You’ll get tired of asking these dumb questions eventually.
Cops where I am at assume everyone is carrying.
Prudent
You should always tell the cops you are armed.
Probably defund the police thing
