4 moI don't know which one of those I should chose. It's always been a general understanding in society that men protect women. But these days with the rise of third or fourth wave of feminism. The roles have gotten really strange.

u 4 moMen are also more aggressive and more territorial.
00 Reply 8.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I often see people describe this as the oh so evil patriarchy ascribing gender roles, but for some reason, I don't think I have ever seen men actually complain about this role on its own.
The complaints arise when the women in question don't appreciate the protection or go as far as to stab them in the back physically or even legally. Daniel Penny is a good example of this legal backstabbing.
This will lead to men stopping this protection, not because they like it but because he will be condemned no matter what he does, just by different parties.
If you have read the Gulag Archipelago, this worship of criminals by the state, where those who defend themselves from them were punished, was one of biggest mistakes the USSR made that led to its own demise.
00 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's a little bit deeper that that but yes its true.. every girl i have ever dated except 1. They know how to take care of themselves and they also know that I will there the second they need me
So if they need me I know that things have gotten out of control and that mean she smart to and is not going to let a guy hurt her either11 Reply- 426 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
4 moGrowing up most of the adults raising me were women. Sure there were a few men, like my Dad, my uncle, my grandfathers, but they were the exception, not the rule. So I don't think men raise children. I think there is some truth in protection. A couple of days ago my husband captured a big, scary spider for me.
I'm pregnant at the moment in my second trimester, and I feel a lot more vulnerable than I normally do. So I've been glad to have my husband around. I think men evolved to protect women during childbirth, and that just kind of spread to men taking the role of protector. Men are not universally bigger and stronger than women; it's just an average, and your size and strength do not mean you will win in a fight. There are countless examples of women stepping up, fighting, and winning. Like never get between a momma bear and her cubs.

Anonymous(45 Plus)4 moThat might have been true when we were living in caves. And while lesser true later on, society was still formed where women stayed home and raised kids. But today, there really is no need for that. Through employment a woman can make just as much as a man. And even if she can't physically do something, she can HIRE a man to do it. Now we are at a pivotal point in history where women are splitting of into 2 subsections. The women who still want to be taken care of and catered to by men. And the ones who want to claime COMPLETE equality. And when I say this I don't mean there are only two types of women. I just mean there are two polar camps of women. Women can be found anywhere on the line linking the two camps.

4 moi don't see how being stronger is the reaon to raise anyone xD it may help doing that but it's not the reason for it right?
15 Reply- 4 mo
Well the reason to raise isn't the strength tho is it?
- 4 mo
It's just the means. Not the reason
- 4 mo
Yeah but you don't raise someone just cause you're strong right. So it's not the reason. Just a helpful aspect.
In most cases its true no doubt

Anonymous(25-29)4 moProtect women against what? Other men? Men don’t protect women, men are the biggest threat on the planet to women. Women are more likely to be killed, raped or abused by a man than anything else, like for example another woman or an animal or harmed by nature.

Anonymous(25-29)4 mohaha when was the last time men raise and protect women?
a man would never protect you unless...
learn this now.. men only protect women who can make them laugh. If you can make him laugh in your presence, you can get everything and anything from him. they call it "love"

demonize men?
the fact they start wars and make up the vast majority of serial killers?
the fact that they abandon their own kids for single moms to raise?
12.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. LOL, domestic abuse figures show more men abuse women, then women abuse men.

Things like the Duluth Model completely scrub out female perpetrators because the creator of the model legitimately thought that a female abuser is impossible and women only "abuse" in retaliation.
Despite her later admitting that it was based on a confirmation bias, it is still around today and is a perfect example of how stats often use this same bias.
Here is an actual study as opposed to crime statistics:
ajph.aphapublications.org/.../AJPH.2005.079020
"Almost 24% of all relationships had some violence, and half (49.7%) of those were reciprocally violent. In nonreciprocally violent relationships, women were the perpetrators in more than 70% of the cases."

13 ReplyThis is utterly true nothing to be a shamed of in a world of rapist men should stand up and protect their women thst is something innate
