Trending & News Somewhat timid would be my assumption, to answer the question.
Followed by "some people live in a basement, or work in a basement, or prefer basements" not to be viewed literally as "a basement" yet some people choose to work as self-employed or single aka sole trader's / some choose to live in small quarters or sub-let / sub lease an apartment.
Some work for a small company literally in the basement, like IT or something. Shrug 😅 people can find almost any job.
And some people who have no social life 🥳🎉 🪩 are married to their jobs / on call 24/7
really all of the above. Everyone has different life circumstances.
And I never liked that view when people say "don't let your occupation define you" lol what's not to love about being defined by ones job.
"I live and breathe this job - I even sleep in another suit as my pyjama suit" for comedic effect lol 👔😆
Chooses not to/Doesn't put in too much effort. There are so many social events and people out in the world. It's easy to find someone to befriend especially the younger you are. I'm glad I found my life long friends in college. Now it's much harder to make friends but not impossible. I made a friend at work as well. That's another option. But the point is there's no excuse to not have at least one friend in the world.
There isn’t just one reason.
Sometimes it’s introversion or different priorities.
Sometimes it’s past hurt, social anxiety, or simply not having found the right environment.
And sometimes people are building something quietly and choose depth over noise.
Lack of a social life doesn’t always mean lack of value , it often just means different timing or different focus.
