Two things come to mind, but you only touched on one. In the US, “knock me up” is a crude way for a woman to demand a man gets her pregnant.
I heard years ago that “knock me up” is an invitation to visit someone at their home in the UK. I hadn’t learned that it started for an actual wake up call until today. I have to wonder how many bedroom windows were broken by those unwieldy upper floors window knockers. 😂😂😂
I also wonder if the up-knockers needed up-knockers to knock them up in time for their job knocking people up. 🤣🤣🤣
Okay, that was useful information. Unfortunately, there is far too much slop in the public sphere for me to have known anything but the very obvious meaning of this phrase. I suppose Your subtext questions can be educational at times.
Though honestly, if the girl in question was Amelia, I would gladly interpret it in all three ways You brought up at once. Yeah, sorry not sorry, if You are British and opposed to President Donald Trump, You get hit with a mention of Amelia whenever possible! 😄
First impression would be to think to be impregnated!

I suspect that phrase has a different meaning in the UK.
I voted pregnancy... I've been begged to do it. Fool me once, shame on me... fool me twice, you're not going to fool me again. There won't be a 3rd time. I'm seriously considering a vasectomy.
That way I can let them think they're fooling me... cream pie heaven until she gets desperate and spermjacks some other guy and tries to do paternity fraud on me when I know better.
Don't blame me... blame the women that do that shit. I just like nutting inside of girls.
To knock on door to wake someone up.
I could have vaguely thought about sex if it was knock me down instead... But no, the preposition "up" leads me to think about a door. Particles can be quite misleading when you aren't native, some sound logical at first, like "hang in" and "hang on".
But then, there's "hang up" which makes much less sense to me 😑
Getting knocked up is a classic term for a woman getting pregnant... unexpectedly.
To knock one up is to put something together.
I've never heard anyone say "knock me up".
My first reaction when I saw this question was the latter.
Impregnate.
I remember in one of Rick Steves' early shows, he checked into a pensionat in England and the lady told him, "I'll be there in the morning to knock you up", and he was so freaked out and confused🤣
He refferenced the incident years later in a behind the scenes segment talking about cultural differences
I think of this woman I used to date some years ago.
She was much older, had struggled to have a child and had in IUD.
So after a while of dating we stopped using condoms and she enjoyed endless cream pies.
I have to admit nothing is as fun as doing that.
Especially when it’s without the pregnancy scares
Your head banging against the head board as the bed slides away from the wall
and then bangs back in to the wall same time your head hits the head board again
unplanned pregnancy... because of that movie
Again, British vs. American. See also "Suspenders"
I would like it to be an invitation to impregnate but it could be just an invitation to make contact subsequently. Almost the same thing.
An invitation to knock me up (to make contact) could lead to knocking me up (to impregnate).
If you're in America, it means you want to get pregnant.
If you're in England, it means you want me to come visit you.
@purplepoppy I would have to show you 'purple"! 😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰
Oh, damn cultural differences. I think "knock me up a sandwich" just sounds really cool but if I ever said that in these parts people would look at me weirder than they already do. 😳
First thing I thought of was your with child.
@purplepoppy to be impregnated
Or to having a knocking good time against the bed springs in the sheets - 👀🤫👀
The sound the bed frame makes against the wall 🧱🧱
@purplepoppy were my answers sufficient? To your needs 🪵 lol wood 🪓 knock wood lol
To make a girl pregnant is the only meaning that I know of
To me, that means “Fuck me and get me pregnant”
@purplepoppy Thank you for the Like
I used to be sent out to knock colleagues up who had slept when I was a postmen at 5am lol
You Brits make everything so complicated... lol... lol...
Some Rolling Stones lyrics come to mind. 🤔
Babies lots of babies lol
"I'll contribute money"
As in: 'Oh, you're collecting for a birthday present. Knock me up."
Giving her a creampie
it means sex get a girl pregnant
old definition has stood for a while.
Were I younger, RUNNING LIKE H**L!!!
