Why are US citizens not enraged by this?

When I was in my very early 20s, I received 2 misdemeanor convictions being too persistent in pursuing a romantic interest. The judge threw the book at me, and the collateral damages were even worse. I lost my professional license, and even still today in my early 30s, I am struggling to regain that professional license. It left me in career limbo for a long time until I pursued software development. Now that the tech industry is volatile, unstable, and bleak, I am back to square one trying to figure out what to do with my life. I cannot return to what I used to do. Now I just collect disability benefits.

Meanwhile, illegals like these get a free pass.

Why should we be ok with it in either case? Both are criminal activities that deserve punishment. You don't deserve any leniency for your sexual based criminal history any more than he does for his violent one. You made poor decisions (and I don't just mean your stalking conviction) by refusing to work within the parameters of any work place and it led to you being fired. Repeatedly. That's on you and your decision making. That's what's led to you relying on social programs to bail you out while condemning others from your high horse.
