Human rights created “first world problems”
The truth is: without human rights we wouldn’t he having quality of life discussions because we would still he dealing with oppressive atrocities
Let’s face it, we’re born in the best time in history.
we have an unparalleled level of freedom
To be without that would mean living a life of scarcity, fear, and pain
I don't agree with your logic if A than B. I think it is not true.
Listen I am not saying that I don't agree with freedom of expression for instance. I am not saying that all human rights are wrong. It is more that I think that they are anti democratic on many occasions and on a big scale. For example freedom of religion. So we allow satanism. Satanism obviously should not be legal, because it is an evil ideology. You see how ridiculous these human rights can be? Also what if the people of a predominantley Christian country don't want muslims? Don't they have the right to vote them out? I think they have that right. And if they don't they should see to it to change the law in as much as they are permitted to express themselves and say that muslims are unwelcome in there country for example.
I am saying that the national voice should be a stronger law than human rights. O. K? Human rights should be put in their fucken place, and not let certain people use them to do what they want to the continuous annoyance of other people to put it mildly. Now if you disagree its up to you.
@Zack-Bann That's not global though. Most of the world doesn't operate like that.
@foxsquirrell Yes, I agree. Like that White woman who got scolded for not wanting to sit next to a black guy on the plane. Or that other White woman who requested a White doctor.
Indians can work as doctors, and blacks no longer have to sit in the back of transportation. FINE! But at the same time, those women also have the right to chose who they sit next to and who treats them. If someone doesn't feel comfortable sitting next to a black man or be treated by a non-White doctor, it's wrong to force them.
Or companies refusing to hire racists. Racists need to work too. Would you rather they contribute to society or be out commiting hate crimes. I think it's fucked up how companies can actually fire people for expressing personal views outside of work.
We have anti-discrimation laws, fine. But there's no law that says I have to like black people.
Or people flipping out over the Sacha Baron Cohen mosque segment. Why should those people be forced to have Muslims in their own? If they want to live in a homogemous society, they should have that right.
No one ever complains that African countries are "too black", but when a place has a WHITE majority, suddenly it's a problem.
I'm not even opposed to black only dorms/schools, as long as Whites can have them too. People who want to segregate themselves should have every right to do so.
@KostasKouvalis Exactly. You and I are on the same page! And there are many others on our side. I believe that in time it will change. I certainly hope that it does.
Yeah. To think there was actually a time in this country where racism was mainstream
No but people using human rights to mask ill intent certianly has.
Exactly. That is what I am talking about.
Not humans rights as a concept but it is the things we consider to be human rights. It started off as a protection against tyranny from your own government. Now it's just "give me free shit, how dare you make me earn it."
Ask our friend. He fancies himself an expert on the subject
Maybe to a certain degree. It's given certain groups too much power and influence. Like 3% of the population should not be dictating how the other 97% live
Exactly! Well said. You do get my point.
Nah I hope I never hear from him again.
