No, it is the opposite. China gets most of its oil from Iran and a lot from Venezuela. He has already cut out Venezuela and is removing Iran as an energy source as well. Then there are the tariffs he imposed on Chinese made goods. There are fewer imports from China coming into the country. China had lost billions and has paid billions in Tariffs.
Astonishing how willfully clueless one can be. China gets 60% of its oil from Russia (pipelines), Saudi-Arabia, Iraq and Malaysia. The other 40 percent are split between 40 different nations. Also China has not paid a single dollar in tariffs, the American companies have and by proxy the American consumers.
@DryGermanGuy simple economics. China sells an inferior product for cheap money because they use slave labor.. The only advantage they have is a lower price. If a tariff gets imposed on their product they will no longer have that advantage and nobody will buy their products. The only way to compete is to charge even less for the product so they absorb the tariff.. Looking at another way. After the tariffs were implemented inflation remained at a steady 2.5%. and less. Tariffs did not cause any additional inflation.
The Chinese companies don't have to "absorb" the tariffs, because they still have the cheapest products, for 98% of all that cheap shit there is no alternative, especially no American alternative.

If a country doesn’t produce its own oil then their cost will go up a lot as everyone tries to buy from a much smaller pool of available oil. In this regard, the US will be okay as it has its own oil and can increase production and export which will actually make a lot of money :D
