Is it possible for a white person to be too poor to afford voter ID or is that just for people of color?

Appalachia ohio is an example of this, so yes, anyone can be dirt poor.
But the excuse is often directed at certain race... because they don't mind insulting that race.
And in many cases, the race doesn't mind being offended. It's crazy they put up with it.
ya gotta wonder. maybe it feels good because they were abused before and this is abuse, thus it feels normal? It is demeaning.
All races can be poor.
That’s what I thought!
Print it and hang it above your fireplace.

To get a photo ID, you typically need to visit a DMV office in person, complete an application, and provide original or certified documents proving your identity, social security number, and residency. Essential documents include a birth certificate or passport, proof of SSN, and two proofs of residency.
Those requirements might be tough for some people. They may not have copies of their birth certificate or SS card. Certainly not a passport. If they are homeless or living with someone where they don't pay any bills or receive correspondence, they may not have two proofs of residency.
There would be some (relatively minor) costs in getting a copy of their birth certificate and SS card, and it would require jumping through some hoops. The ID card costs money, too.
I don't think the expenses would be insurmountable, but some of the hoops could be a challenge.
For instance, if a person's name or sex didn't match the one on their birth certificate, they would have to deal with that. A married woman who took her husband's last name might have to provide a marriage license.
White people can have as much difficulty with those things as anyone else.
Still, I don't know how anyone can get by without a photo ID, not just for voting, but for employment, medical care, government benefits and all kinds of things.
So, you are telling me that these poor people are not receiving ANY form of government assistance? Because you have to have a state-issued ID to receive government benefits. And poor people somehow manage to receive benefits for everything they possibly qualify for and even things they don't.
“So, you are telling me that these poor people are not receiving ANY form of government assistance? “
If I was telling you that, I would have told you that. I didn’t tell you that.
You definitely implied it though.
When did you ever hear of anyone complaining that they couldn't get government benefits because it required a state-issued photo ID? Literally never, because people will do whatever they need to do to get free money/benefits. In many states, a non-driver ID is free, and even in socialist "tax and fee" states like California, a non-driver ID is $12 and is good for 5 years, and can be renewed by mail or online.
For virtually all American citizens, having ID to vote is a non-issue. The reason the left is making such a huge stink about it is because they rely on tons of ballet harvesting and having illegals vote for them - there are many videos where people have been caught doing this, and far more aren't caught. If these non-qualified voters were voting for Republicans, the very same people who are complaining about Voter ID right now would be telling us all how Voter ID is essential to democracy.
“You definitely implied it though.”
“When did you ever hear of anyone complaining that they couldn't get government…..”
You assumed, I didn’t imply.
You think black people are too poor or too dumb to get an ID. You are even questioning if white people can be as dumb and poor as black people. You need to become more color blind and realize that there are rich and poor, smart and dumb in every race. It’s called the racism of low expectations.
@BadApple69 the question or answer has nothing to do with being 'color blind, and you certainly know that. You know what this question is about. It is about the racist position of some "people of color' claiming they are not able to get an ID for some 'inexplicable" reason (probably racism on the part of those persons issuing the ID cards.
Social security, library card, welfare, credit cards, bank accounts, registering a child for school, buying a bottle of alcohol (in some places), food stamps, and shoveling snow in NYC. All these things and many more require ID. In some states IDs are free, and in others relatively cheap $20 or so. Everyone that uses or needs any of these listed above will have an ID.
Tell that to left wing news.
@strawberryapple that know….. they will just never say it. They will work hard to find that one 110 year old person who doesn’t have ID and then put them on every channel for a week!!
Great idea.
the concept of "poor" in the USA... is often a strange one
a lot of these poor people, collect benefits, owe a car, struggle to pay stuff, still have a phone to complain about being poor...
perhaps... many of these are just people with "poor choices" and "poor options" and not exactly financially poor people...
@strawberryapple anybody can afford a 'free' ID or a $7 ID card with some kind of proof of Legally being in the country. I work for the State.
We all know what this is about.
@strawberryapple Yes, most thinking people do, and I almost had a scene with a black manager in my office in San Clemente, making a race bating statement about just this same thing and I was angry as hell. She made a stupid comment about "disenfranchised voters' at the voting poles, and I had to bite my tongue to avoid making a scene by calling her out about 'disenfranchised' - and asking her just what the hell she was talking about, and she was talking about 'people of color' being kept from voting... I wanted to advise her that this is not 1950 in
Birmingham Alabama with George Wallace being Governor of Alabama with the KKK being in the voting places keeping blacks from voting. Really infuriating as hell.
It sounds like she was just parroting something she heard on left-wing news.
Gotcha
They welcome the fraud and then say it isn’t happening.
No one should have any difficulty getting photo ID. I'm not sure how it works in the US. Up here in Canada is is cheap & easy to get some form of photo ID.
ID is very easy to get in the US. It’s just that the Democrats don’t want IDs to be used for voting.
Simple. The theory is that illegal immigrants would be grateful and vote for the party who allowed them to break the law and live in the US.
It doesn't matter what color you are because what's going to happen is there are going to be people out there making fake IDs with the stamp on it that looks real and they're going to have 500 different IDs and they're going to go to each place and put in their vote anyway come on if there's a way they're going to do it
No one is too poor or too dumb to get a photo ID, or prove their citizenship.
There must be a different motive behind us.
This
Nobody is too poor to get one or too dumb to get one, except educated divorced women.
Tell that to MSNBC
According to the left, minorities and women are the only ones too stupid to get ID.
If you watch the video on YouTube about a political debate between Charles Barkley and Michael Savage,
You would see that the left might be right about that. 😂
No one in the US is "Too Poor" to have valid identification for voting as they include but are not limited to, a driver's license, state-issued ID, passport, military ID, or other government-issued documents that show your name and address.
Tell that to MSNBC
MSNBC would not know a valid ID if iit got up and bit them in the arse, here in the UK the majority of Main Stream Media are the same - the BBC has been caught creating false stories from whole cloth, their unit 'BBC Verify' runs fake stories all the time, no one over here with even the slightest glimmer of sense takes anything on it at face value.
I suppose so. It costs $10 or $20 to get a state ID so, if you ain't got that much to spare on such a thing, you're too poor to get one. But, if you've got your birth certificate handy, most likely, that'll be enough to prove you can vote.
Pretty much anyone can get an ID card. The problem with voter ID laws is that people are restricting what kind of ID is allowed. Let's say a driver's license is required. I don't have one. I probably won't get one because I don't drive.
does voter id cost anything? as far as i knew, registration is free.
If you ask Kathy Hochul, only minorities can't get an ID because they don't know what a computer is.
Just another Democrat excuse for no voter ID
do you live like that in a tent
I WISH! I live in that small shack on the left side of the picture.
I actually live in an apartment.
Definitely people of color. Room temp IQ. I've had my paper work organized and secure since I was 5.
Lol 🤣 this made my day 😂
Good!
Thanks kind strawberry apple lady - I hope you have enjoyed those with your lover 😊😜 🛏️
