Iran has been behaving like pirates, blockading one of the biggest oil pipelines that feeds the world.

Regardless of the US’s war with Iran, there should already be a coalition of nations that are impacted by this showing up to push back the Iranian pirates and security the pipeline

Instead everyone is crossing their arms and giving Trump the side eye as though he’s single handedly responsible for all the crimes Iran keep on committing

Big countries have military budgets for a reason
And if that budget can’t be used to secure the economy by securing the oil prices why have it at all.

One trump said he didn't need help with Iran but failed to realize the consequences and then went the complete opposite now asking for help, second ally countries didn't start this mess and many weren’t informed so US and partner put them in a bad spot, Japan is an example of a ally country with no knowledge that took a big hit. There are still ships going through that benefit Iran economically which the US would have done the same if they were in that situation. The US pulled a lot of expensive toys across the ocean why aren't they dealing with it. If war is really in the hands of the US then this shouldn't have been an issue but the world isn't trying to escalate the situation more than it has already become. European nations and NATO are already losing moral with the US with tariffs and threats of being invaded (Greenland) do you really think countries are suiting up after all that has happened leading up to this point. While the Straits of Hormuz are 35 to 60 miles wide the actual shipping lanes are a total of 6 miles wide, 2miles entering, 2miles exiting, and a 2 mile buffer in-between which forces any traffic to cluster and the Iranians fire on anything attempting to transit the Straits, the American navy is the largest force in the region and it is suppressing the actions of Iranian military as best it can, but it is limited because the Iranian military have porously placed their base inside civilian areas, and a lot of the costal missiles and artillery are mobile not staying in one place more than a couple of hours before moving. And the biggest threat is from the cheap fast attack boats that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are using to swarm any vessel attempting to transit the Straits either in or out, American forces are countering this by the use of A-10, AH-64, and surface combatants in a layered defence approach, that rips those fast attack boats apart as soon as they form up for an attack with the A-10’s who are flying in a loiter pattern over the Straits doing a lot of the heavy lifting with the AH-64 catching those who slip through, and surface combatants dealing with supersonic cruise missiles.

There are two pipe lines Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline and the UAE's Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline (ADCOP) that are allowing oil out of the gulf but not in the quantity needed. Other projects for alternate routes have been on the drawing boards for some time, but as long as Iran restrained itself to just sabre rattling they were given no real priority.

In reality the only way that the Straits of Hormuz will open up to traffic is if every piece of Iranian offensive weaponry with the range to strike the shipping lanes in the Straits of Hormuz are removed from the map, and American Forces are the only ones capability and resources to do that, everyone else in the region are literally by-standers.

Why would we? The US has been threatening its partner for months, put tariffs and even considered attacking an ally. He didn't consult with anyone before attacking Iran. So reopening the strait is an entirely selfish need

Even if you were to take on that risk, the Strait is 100 miles long. So escorting a single tanker would be 6 hours or more. That's a huge armada you would need.

This is what I have heard. It may or may not be accurate but this is what I have heard. There are sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz and sea mines are a lot harder to detect and clear than land mines.
The strait of Hormuz is also very narrow and since it’s so narrow it’s much easier to hit targets and enemies and it’s a lot harder for other people to defend themselves when the attacker is close by. It’s easier to shoot down a missle when it’s further away.
It would be very dangerous for countries that Iran doesn’t consider friendly to get too close to the land of Iran.

There is a myriad of reasons for why they are not willing to enter the the third Gulf war. I will illustrate three
