If you’re 40, we’ve been asking this question your entire life as well
Something tells me we’ll keep asking it for the years to come
Because no one cares about doing “the right thing” it’s all about profit and money
People’s lives are secondary to that
And that’s fine. But it also means that there will always be a bargaining chip somewhere
In world with principles a regime like Iran would have been taken down without any hesitation or negotiation
It is a danger to its people and the people of the whole world
A prime example of what a total lack of human rights look like
But here we are. Still stuck in an endless cycle of war where only collateral damage pays the price13 Reply- 3 mo
Wise answer and yes i know that the majority of wars aren't made for the sake of humans, more like for profits, power and money... etc
This behavior shows that we are still somewhat primitive! - 3 mo
@ManOnFire it is a combination of propaganda and real threat...

3 moI don't know yet. If we really fuck up their infrastructure, that's going to fuck up the idea of helping the Iranian people. But with that said, it looks like killing off their leaders isn't removing the IRCG from bitch slapping the shit out of their women into a hijab and cucking the men into submission to the quran.
I've tried to brain storm ideas like giving the Iranian citizens weapons, but like I said... I don't fucking know. Would that work? I mean Biden gave Afghans a bunch of weapons out of retardation, it might be an idea that works.
Radical Islam is a beast... taking over the UK... and they just have control over people.

Well said, in case of Iran, as long as the regime exists than there will be no real peace or no danger...
Even though their leaders are being killed but they are replacing them with people who think the same and maybe even worse! - 3 mo
Exactly... it's going to be complicated to solve that problem.
- 3 mo
Yep, it's because it's an ideological regime, it's not like killing the leader will bring the state down, it's like cutting the head of a monster who soonly regenerates another one...

3 moThe only 2 options are either full blown war and bomb Iran into oblivion then occupy the country for the next decade or two to prevent the wrong side to take power during the power vacuum or walk away. The rest of the world is seemingly ok with Iran enriching uranium and would rather have oil flowing freely than join the US. The US is blocking the Strait of Hormuz but China's naval escort fleer has been running training exorcises nearby in the Gulf of Aden for the last month in preparation of escorting Asian tankers through the Strait.

3 moMore of the same is next for probably the next 2 decades. Once you open a can of worms like this it never just goes away quickly and quietly. Only a moron would believe this was gonna be a neatly contained little adventure where the US had total control. And we have a world class moron in charge of the USA at the moment.
We have learned nothing from decades of attempted regime change dating back to the Korean War in 1950 - 1953. 76 years that encompass Korea, Iran, Vietnam, Cuba, Chile, Nicaragua, numerous African countries, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and now Iran for the second time.
11 Reply- 3 mo
But such regimes should have an end if you want to live in a free and peaceful world...
27.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Iran cannot be allowed to take the world hostage. The US will not negotiate with terrorists. The next attack will take out power supplies and bridges and what little of the drones that are left.

There is no actual victory as long as the iranian regime exists, even if all Iran becomes ruined, what matters is the regime, when this regime becomes eliminated than you can call it a conquest!

3 moMore people, including US soldiers and Iranian soldiers will be killed, Iranian adults and CHILDREN will be MURDERED, because a dementia ridden lunatic wants to avoid fallout from raping little girls. That's what happens next. Or, if the world is lucky, he'll just have a heart attack and there will be a Big Beautiful Funeral with dancing in the streets of the Earth.

You shouldn't be wishing this for anyone, anyways it's clear that you are against Trump's politics, but forget a little bit about Trump, if you're living in the U. S or in Europe, don't you think that the Iranian regime is a threat on others who doesn't share with it the same ideology and later on their same religion...
- 3 mo
a) I don't "wish" it on anyone. The question asked what I "think" would be next, not what I "hope" would or wouldn't be next
b) No, I do NOT think Iran was a threat to others any more than Israel or the USA is a threat to others who do not share THEIR ideology.
This demonization of an Arab nation is the same tired old playbook used by Bush/Cheney.
The same playbook used to go into Korea. And Vietnam.
The USA has the largest military strength in the world when it comes to planes, ships and armaments. How the HELL is tiny Iran a threat to the USA? It's bullshit. Trump, or rather his masters, needed a huge distraction from the Epstein files and how he was grifting the economy of the USA. Fake patriotism and nationalism is usually a sure way to do that.
- 3 mo
It's disappointing that you think that all this is just a big conspiracy and all made up 🤦🏻♂️
- 3 mo
Is more disappointing that you don't see the men behind the curtain, and also that you didn't consider the facts of what I said.
Pay attention. Lots of countries have nukes. Pakistan and India both have nukes, and they hate one another, and their governments are run by religious extremists periodically. I don't hear the USA crying about them. Why? They don't have oil.
Israel has nukes, and they are ruled by an extreme Zionist waging a genocidal war against Palestinians and a war against Lebanon, annexing whatever territory they can. I don't hear you OR the USA crying about Israel, rather, they're giving them billions of dollars to wage genocide. North Korea has nukes. They're run by an extremist as well, but they don't have oil either.
I'm saying there is no REAL evidence that Iran poses a threat to the USA, and you haven't refuted it. So far, the only refutations are "they're crazy religious extremists who shouldn't have nukes", but so are Pakistan, India, N. Korea AND Israel. The other is "we're freeing the oppressed Iranians and they're cheering us on". More bullshit, and I'm not going to waste time laying out all those reasons either.
Clearly, the USA is not a purveyor of freedom and democracy. All you have to do is look at what's going on in the states, who's grifting it, how they're doing it, and why. The level of blatant corruption has never been seen in its history.
When you start dealing in observable facts, it's no longer a conspiracy, but a recognizable pattern. Things like Iran are nothing but a distraction from the real damage being done and add to the damage as well. It's disappointing that you can't see that. - 3 mo
Don't worry i see what you mean and i'm not saying that it's wrong, i agree with you but you made a fault comparing Iran to india and others, i don't know what these countries are doing but i know well enough what Iran is doing, it's not something that i need someone to tell me about it cause i'm living it daily 🤷🏻♂️
- 3 mo
Obama made a perfectly good deal with Iran, and Trump walked away from it. You know why? Because it was OBAMA who did it, and Trump's ego can't live with any successful thing that Obama did but Obama mocked him at one time. Right now Israel is bombing the shit out of your country, with weapons paid for by the USA, not Iran, not Russia, but money from the USA.
- 3 mo
Because of who? It's because of hezbollah (iran's ultimate proxy) in the region!
The people are just fighting to defend themselves, i'm not taking any sides but that's the simple truth, to me it's not Israel who brought chaos to my country, it's hezbollah who did it! - 3 mo
You're entitled to your opinion on what's going on in your own country. It doesn't make Israel any less of a monster.
- 3 mo
I respect your opinion, but for example you can't have two monsters and tell me that i'm seeing only one while the other is entitled to my opinion!
If you're taking a side, just say it, i don't mind but if you want to speak the truth and the reality, say everything, don't hide behind your finger 🤷🏻♂️ - 3 mo
I don't like the actions of either side, but did Hezbollah not emerge AFTER the Israeli's invaded Lebanon in 1982? Israel's policy has always been to annex as much surrounding land as possible, and expel millions of people in the process. That is their M. O. They feel it's their God-given right to take whatever they want because it's their Holy Land, according to their little book.
So to answer your question on sides, I'm not on the side of Israel at all, which doesn't mean I AM on the side of Hezbollah. I understand their response, though. Do I think it's functional? No. - 3 mo
Good 👍🏻
Iran is not interested in negotiating, the US will have tk wipe them out and take over Iran's oil production.
21 Reply- 3 mo
In my opinion, the U. S gave them so many chances that they didn't deserve, as the long as the iranian regime exists, the danger remains!
3 moChina has a powerful support mechanism behind Iran. The US has no means of achieving victory in Iran on its own. The global economy will suffer and everything will become more expensive.

Tbh with you, even if they decide to have a negotation again, it will be temporary cause these people cannot be trusted!
Not because they are bad or good, these people work and think like robots according to their beliefs and ideology! - 3 mo
yeah it's not about that i guess. it's a geopolitical thing. the us has to pretend as if they're ready to talk cause otherwise they'll be percieved as just mindlessly bombing a country and they wanna avoid that. so that's why i think they'll take a break to talk periodically just so they can seem reasonable in front of the world watching.

It's truly a waste of lives, resources and money but since they have done it, instead of having all these in vain, they better win and fullfill their objectives so that all these loses won't be for nothing...
Opinion Owner3 moThose who don't have much share the most. Their minds are more open. Problem is the religion. It makes people doing bad things. Second the power. Give someone power and you see a character.
- 3 mo
It depends on what religion and if they using the religion to hide their awful actions, plus a good person would use his given power for good things and not for destruction and greed...
Opinion Owner3 moWhich church did not? Protestant, catholic, Islamic... they all did.
- 3 mo
These are the people who hides their actions under the name of religion, it doesn't mean that the religion is wrong but mostly the people are the ones who are wrong, speaking as a christian, don't know about Islam...

Tbh, it's because there was no real deal between the U. S & Iran, plus the Iranian regime cannot be trusted!
Opinion Owner3 moTrump claims he made a deal, maybe there is a chance.
As for the Iranian politics, they didn't start the war.- 3 mo
They didn't start the war because they know that they will lose but where they can succeed, they have already started it...
- 3 mo
They weren't ready yet...
Opinion Owner3 moIran hasn't started a war since about a century ago, or even earlier.
On the other hand, USA starts a war almost every decade, and Israel is in constant wars since they restored their country.
- 3 mo
Try to read more about how Iran managed to kill americans and bombed embassies and military troops in this past century, doesn't matter if it's directly or through it's proxies...
Opinion Owner3 moConsidering you're from Lebanon, I understand why are you worried about Iran, you are afraid of some kind of restored Persian empire... but it won't happen, unless they unite with Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- 3 mo
Not only because of the Persian empire, just look at hezbollah? Who is hezbollah? Who supports and trains these terrotists?
They have brought chaos, destruction and death to our country for decades...
Opinion Owner3 moThat's true, but maybe Saudi Arabia is secretly training them. They are richer than Iran.
- 3 mo
Hezbollah are muslims shiites not sunnis, they hate saudi arabia and act against it's king and prince...
