There have been and currently are tons of women leading countries all around the world

There is no correlation between that and the quality of the decisions being made

For a long time it was assumed women couldn’t handle leading a country, that’s false

But there’s also a running rhetoric that women are somehow better leaders and won’t make wars like men did. That’s also false

A seat of power has a tendency of corrupting even the most moral of minds

The few who attempted to resist that corruption usually ended up in a body bag before their term was up

So if a woman candidate’s entire campaign is centered around her gender, she’s not winning

Kamala did that: when she was running all we could hear is about her being a woman, black -and Indian
Not once did she put forward the fact that she was a lawyer and federal prosecutor before climbing the stairs of politics by taking all kinds of positions in DC.
And she lost. Because the average voter, that isn’t chronically online engaged in gender and racial debates, doesn’t care about any of that.
They need an actual reason to bet on a person and we haven’t yet a woman who gave a compelling one

I will never vote for a candidate simply because she is a woman. If that was my intention, I would have voted for Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris! Being a woman does not make a person qualified to be president.

I am ready for the most qualified conservative candidate to be the next president. It doesn't matter whether it is a woman or a minority candidate. I will vote on the basis of the values they represent.

Yes I’m ready for a woman president, I was back in 2024 when I cast my ballot for Kamala Harris.

AOC would be my top pick , given the rallies with Bernie Sanders speaking out in favor of working class , healthcare reform , eliminating tuition and fees in education , lower prices for drugs in America where it is expensive elsewhere , advocates for fixing the housing crisis , and pushing against data centers driving up prices for everyday Americans’ utilities costs in their own home.

Elizabeth Warren is up there too, thanks to her major role in creating the CFPB Agency which saves Americans a total of $5 billion a year. That did it enough for me to support her. Sadly was under threat and attacks from DOGE, but CFPB was created with good intentions and has been working nonstop to help consumers fight.

I don’t care about gender, but I care about values.

I supported Tulsi in the primary, I like various attributes of her thinking. I really don't know if we'd be better off with her or not... maybe. The office seems to corrupt anyone... but I suspect she's less likely to get sucked into the messes we are in. Who knows... nobody else thought so, she got no votes...

It's really more about how the person thinks, their heart, etc.. A foreign govt may see her as weak and that cause other larger problems.

Definitely not clinton... blech... can't think of a dem I like at the moment.

It never mattered to me what gender a candidate was as long as they weren't trans. All that matters to me are their values, qualifications and intellect.
I voted for Tulsi in the 2016 primary.
I didn't vote for Hillary because she is a megalomaniacal, mass murdering, psychopath. I didn't vote for Kamala because she is devoid of ethics and as dumb as a rock.

Is this the glass ceiling I've heard so much about? This very question that many have asked for over a hundred years. And by over I mean like 6 years over seeing women suffrage is only 106 years old.

Funny enough our current president that got voted in for being a TV reality show host, wwe wrestler. Also convicted of felonies and payed settlements for multiple women of sexual abuse in civil court. All that help him get elected.

Yet are we as a nation ready for a women president? Women do get raped by men so how can she be an effective leader? The discourse is that bad amd getting worse. Spooky times.

I have mixed feelings about it. While I know there are women capable of being great leaders, and there currently are some great leader women, I think men are less likely to take part in suicidal empathy. I genuinely think leadership roles should be left to men. It's also proven women prefer to be led by men than women.

There has been one female Prime Minister. She immediately broke her pledge that "There will be no carbon tax under a government I lead" in order to get that one vote to obtain a majority vote in parliament.

Immediately "Ditch The Witch" placards were printed in the 10's of thousands.

I'd like to think that a female could somehow break ( some of ) the polarisation in the USA , this 7 swing states thing , does not help anyone.

It's not a football everyone should vote and not purely along party lines , but policy should be an issue , the system. has allowed this Red / Blue state thing , every state should ( in theory ) be a swing state.

I also live in Mexico... there's been a "woman president" for almost two years now, and pretty much half the Congress and chambers, Justices... women as well

and it's pretty much the same... not better, not worse... just "the same"
