Is it time for a conservative/liberal divorce in the USA?

We don't want you, you don't want us. What is there to lose? Liberals are more affluent but conservatives are more free. Conservatives love G0d, liberals reject G0d. Liberals are libertine, conservatives are traditional. Why would you want to stay in an unhappy marriage? We can take care of ourselves, you can take care of yourselves. Why have a bloody civil war when we can just go our separate ways? Many of you are hard left America haters. Wouldn't you be happier? I know we would.

sure but conservatives would lose a lot of the coastline and would have to give up sushi unless the liberals decided to sell some of their fish. But then again, I doubt the liberals would go out on boats to catch fish and more likely buy soybeans from conservatives in Ohio to make tofu. So they got nothing to trade but maybe electricity. But what if conservatives stop growing and selling the the soybeans... they don't want them anyways, they want cows and deer and birds... meat eaters.

Could be all out war... and all for sushi and tofu. Tofurkey wars...

@Mariogirl09 The map's not wrong, but it's a little misleading. Right wingers tend to live in less densely populated areas, while left wingers tend to cluster together in very densely populated urban areas. So there's way more red in this map, but the blue areas have way more people in them.

That’s right, and counties, are not exactly representative of people. I think the map is disingenuous and the truth is more nuanced.

@Tamera952 I mean, the map shows what it's supposed to show. I'm not sure if it's by congressional district, or by county, or by square mile, or what, but it reflects the reality of who lives where.

But if you assume that every part of this map has the same number of people per square mile, then you'll conclude that the American population is 95% Republican, which is absolutely not the case.

They will never agree to that. They claim we are the "imperialists" but all we want is to be left alone. The left on the other hand, has infected our institutions with communist ideals which is interventionist by nature. They will never stop with themselves complying, they will do anything in their power to make us comply too.
