This is so relatable.

Seen from my foreign eyes, US stopped feeling safe entirely. It now reminds me of a random dictatorship where you can get arrested or shot for reasons that don't really matter because some authorities have been granted an awful lot of power. I don't care how much of that is really reasonable. It's a feeling.

I don't know if things will ever get better again, but as long as the US wants to look like it's unsolicited battle royale in the streets, then I'm not going to play lab rat. I'm not going to test how protected I am, as a tourist, by international treaties. No US for me until the next presidency shows signs of stability again.
