Is it wrong to be very friendly with a man I’m not interested in?

I’m a very bubbly, chatty person by nature. One of my best friends told me that while it’s understandable to be a social butterfly, I have to be aware of how that might be perceived by men, when we used to be romantically interested in each other.

I’m not still interested in this man or other men who may or may not be interested in me. I’m just really friendly to everyone I know. I don’t mean anything by it and often I get bored, so I talk more. My friend said he’s pursuing me and that I should expect him to make a move if I’m not careful.

Your friend is absolutely correct. The simple fact is nearly every man has difficulty in picking up on female sexual interest in us. Oh there is body language but that requires calibration. Maybe you are always twiddling with your hair and clasping your hand to your cleavage when you say 'I something' and you aren't drawing our attention to how firm your breasts are.

In most cases - certainly when we have just met you - we have no calibration. Bubbly, chatty girls are the worst. Cause we would think a girl that wants to talk to us and is all amusing & entertaining is potentially is wanting more because every girl we've got with was really friendly to us.

It is never a drill, so we have to take 'potentially' seriously.

If you were really friendly to me, I'd probably note how friendly you are to others and make a judgement call from that i. e. calibrate.

But probably a lot of guys don't and are more in the moment. So there will be guys thinking they have a chance with you when they don't.

By all means be your bright bubbly chatty self but in the process you can indicate non sexual interest in the guy you are being all bright bubbly & chatty with.

But it's helpful to be aware of our social impact, because a lot of people will confuse friendliness from a woman with romantic interest. It is a very common misunderstanding.

It's not wrong. You're being yourself but I can be the same way and it gets very easily misinterpreted and has many times for me so her warning is definitely accurate. Just be prepared for the inevitable.
