Why is this guy nice to me but unfriendly to others?

So there’s this guy in my building and I’ve noticed (I haven’t done anything to earn any kindness from him lol) he will hold doors for me and like do mini favors for me like getting my floor for me in the elevator and I notice he softly smiles when he sees me.
But he was cold to the front desk staff and didn’t smile back at the lady who works at the front desk and looked annoyed at her for not pressing the button for the hall to the elevators to open. And I was talking to the front desk lady and she thought he was rude. I can’t tell if he just doesn’t respect people in certain positions or if it’s personal and he likes me in some way? I don't know.

Ok so you are a lucky in many ways this is going to be the best learning experience for you ever

Look into his eyes the way that he talks to you when he talks to you

Listen to his voice looking to his eyes. If you can when he talks to other people listen to the tone

The second person is who he is who he is. The grumpy grumpy guy

Except for if you start dating him sure he's gonna be the same guy that he is right now to you, that slowly slowly slowly it will change and he will become that grumpy guy to you except for it will be 10 times worse because he's having a relationship with you. So he's going to try to control you. You should write a book after this one. I'm serious you get to see first-hand who and how people truly are.

Maybe you’re one of the few women who doesn’t act like a bitch toward him. Men used to do all kinds of things like open the door for women, smile, say hello, help them w things like fixing a tire, etc, etc. But these days the way a lot of women are at shaming men or saying we don’t need men or he’s a creep, men don’t want to do those things. I don’t blame them. I don’t even talk to a majority of women myself. Not like I used to. I talk to one lady at work. Everyone assumed it was cause I liked her as more than a co-worker or something like that. No, the honest truth is I can just be myself around her. We joke, we laugh. She helps me w things as do I. So yes I talk to her more then everyone else, but that’s because I can get along w her. I don’t have to worry about her trying to start trouble. She gives just as much as I do w jokes, talking shit, etc. Everyone else unless I actually have to work w them, I steer clear of them.
