I'm in alaska and our permit dividend fund ( or alaska pfd) should be upwards of $3400 per person with our oil pipeline profits.

Now it looks like its $1100 next October. That's pretty fucked up even leaning on high as possible oil prices.

We drive a full electric and a plug in hybrid. It’s not affecting us much. The hydro bill stays about the same. Still sucks for the economy at large, those costs are going to show up somewhere in goods and services soon enough.

Gas prices are lower than they were under Biden, and no one said a word about it back then. And that sign is from California, not the rest of the country. Gavin Newsom has $3 in "gas tax" added to every gallon of gas.

One of my tax benefits is that I have a fuel allowance covering company & private mileage so for the last 10 years I haven’t paid attention to the cost at the pump as I just use the company credit card.

None so far. I drive smarter, slower or ride the bike. I see the difference in bill but it isn't a problem for us.

Others living on the edge probably a diff story. The real impact is in availability in poor countries and the input feed costs. Impact to farmers, fertilizer... thus food production, cost of drugs, etc.. Oil drives everything...

Not much impact to me personally. My car gets 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. And I work from home a lot of the time. So I only fill up my car about once a month. And that's probably 12 gallons. At $3/gal that's $36. At $6/gal it's $72. $36 dollars per month is not even perceptible.

0ver 7 bucks is california , rest of country are +- 400 cal designer gas , lost bioth gas stations and 2 refineries and needs to ship fuel from middle east koria etc as only few refineries can make the special blends , and has 2nd highest gas tax but a carbon tax also thats not couned as gas tax buts on the bill.
