But given we know the source, should the ship have ever been allowed to dock?

Fool me once, shame on You... Fool me twice, shame on me!
So, let me get this straight... Now that the Orange Man attempts to wriggle Himself out of the embarassment in Iran (and is somewhat successful according to some sources), the global left attempts to bring yet another scamdemic down on His head? Is this for real? I mean... At this point, it will actually help Him, the same lie will not work twice... The same people who actually got mad at Him for putting the interests of the Jewish equivalent of a certain Austrian painter above US interest will see once again that the global left is still feeling threatened by Him and wants to tear Him down no matter what, which will actually result in a spike in His support!
Oh, and as for the initial question, going through with such a proposal would constitute mass murder. I say let all of the passengers roam free once the cruise ship docks, even inviting them for media speeches about the experience. Also, since the initial proposal is homicidal enough by itself, I will not break any rules by voicing a similar, yet more effective counterproposal - let's put all the scamdemic fearmongerers on a ship (not a luxury one, it should be some old ferry awaiting decommission anyway) and sink it in the middle of the ocean. This will solve the hantavirus scamdemic issue for good, as well as most future scamdemic issues.
Here we go! Another Trump-hater who HAS to find some connection with which to blame the Orange Man for ANYTHING that's wrong, or even what isn't wrong. Trump has NOTHING to be embarrassed about with respect to Iran, because he's basically won! Secondly, Trump has NOTHING to do with the Hantavirus! Sorry, this constant anti-Trump mantra won't work! A news bulletin: 1: Trump is NOT ALWAYS WRONG NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES! And 2: TRUMP IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING in life which you happen to not like!
@Keyboardkat Okay, now read my comment again and try to understand it this time. I support basically everything President Donald Trump has done in His second term, except the mess in Iran (about that, I wouldn't regard losing multiple Middle Eastern bases, together with numerous F-15s and A-10s - some even claim F-35s were also lost - to a country with an army that was supposed to be destroyed as winning, but whatever - my actual problem with Trump and His actions against Iran is that He supported a war criminal against the peaceful nation of Iran). Everything else that You mentioned is just a strawman You created of me. About the hantavirus, my claim was that the global left attempts to hit Trump with a second scamdemic (in order to steal some more elections). I am also actively clowning on anyone repeating the anti-Trump mantra - this one was an honestly embarassing case of friendly fire.
As for Your bulletin:
1. That is correct - in fact, He is correct about everything regarding US internal policy.
2. This one is incorrect - He is responsible for supporting a genocidal war criminal against the peaceful nation of Iran (which I obviously do not like) - I do understand He was most likely blackmailed to do it, but the fact remains regardless.
Itās another fear war. Only this time it wonāt work
Hantavirus is not new. Some evidence suggests itās been with us since the middle ages
Itās essentially another form of ārat plagueā because you can only catch it from exposure to rat piss.
Itās not very contagious human to human and requires prolonged exposure to a person and the sharing of bodily fluids.
Itās not like Covid or the flu that can be coughed onto others.
And while it sounds counterintuitive and very dreadful, the fact that itās ACTUALLY pretty lethal will prevent mass contamination.
The problem with Covid is that it was weaker than the flu for 99% of people and lethal for the 1% (sick and elderly) thatās why it was so scary.
And thatās why most of us caught it and nothing happened.
Hantavirus doesnāt discriminate.
If you have a rat home be extremely careful in how you deal with it especially the piss.
And you should be fine.
Let them lie anchor 2-3 sea miles of a port surround with armed vessels which open fire if someone dares to jump into water.
If oil or food is necessary bring it with supply ship and people in hazmat suits.
After quarantine of 4-6 weeks people need to be disinfested and checked for symptoms then left free. Ship remains longer on anchor outside a port because of possible rats on board. Entry only with hazmat and disinfection after.
It's easily to manage but media needs fear mongering food and vaccine corporation bosses rub their hands already.
Ironically you think your shit doesn't stink. You would be the first to bitch about it. I noticed you didn't offer a solution. Imagine that.
Why not isolate to ship until we figure out a better plan?

Let's consider this with logic, setting aside so-called human rights.
There's obviously a dangerous virus on board of that ship, and already a few dead. Normally, according old traditions, a particular flag was raised to indicate a contagion aboard. No question to enter the harbour, and thus people on board got quarantined.
Blowing up the ship with all people on board would not really help because they already got on land a few times before mentioning the problem. I think that burning down the ship would only slow down the contagion. Think of a single little shard resulting from the explosion or fire still carrying a sample of the virus.
The most logic action would be to put people in quarantine, and the ship disinfected thoroughly. What else is there to do? Oh yes, maybe a prayer ;0)
You need to do some research on this. The virus itself is serious in that it's got a high kill rate, but it is NOT SPREAD by airborne particles or water droplets like Covid, unless you come into direct contact with rodent saliva, or feces, or the saliva of someone who is infected.
Here are some FACTS for those panicking:
* Kill rate is high - 30-60%, but it depends on the individual's immune system and the severity of the infection.
* It is rare to pass it among humans via anything but direct, intimate contact - extremely rare, but not impossible.
* It can survive without a host for a few days in certain environments
Torpedoing a ship will result in the needless deaths of hundreds of innocent people who never asked for the hantavirus. Since the virus is survivable, the ship should be quarantined until the danger has passed, and then the passengers and crew should be released. Medicines and food would be delivered and passed from the dock to the ship in a safe manner, with involved personnel masked and gloved.
I think once a person on the ship got it it was time to accept what was about to happen. Obviously people not on the ship have it too, who knows how that's spreading. They should have quarentine the ship, gone through the passengers one by one and began doing whatever the medical people do.
I do like that idea. After all, it definitely serves the greater good. Thatās the excuse we use for almost every other otherwise deplorable decision. I loathe hypocrisy and favor uniformity. Sink the ship and quarantine the source of the virus if it didnāt originate on the ship.
The danger is not the virus, but the reaction to the virus.
And the inability of the population to do some basic critical research/analyse figures/politicians intents.
Bit scary googling the virus or the strain of it š¦ š¦ and what it does / doesn't do / fatal rate or fatal odds etc - sigh š š½ š§»š
And after just enjoying years of post Coronavirus
WITH PEOPLE ON IT? H**L to the NO !!!
There is no running or hiding. Peeps with enough money can run and hide but the world is full of disease. Should the world be torpedoed once and for all folks?
Nah, sure it's lethal, but it's only 50% and it's really hard to get. It's not going to be Covid 2.0 So long as people don't fall for the bull shit again
Why give it to the fish and other creatures in the Sea? Burning it is the best option. Then you can use it as a new lighthouse as a bonus.
should have been taken up by an alien space ship, complete with AI video. starting war of the worlds IV.
Trapped in hell as a rodent-borne plague slowly spreads... while 100,000 people line up on docks somewhere in the world every single day to do the same all over again...
🤦āāļø
I'm stockpiling Ivermectin and Clorox for sale to the MAGA filth.
It hasn't arrived yet. It is expected to stop at the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Spain) on Sunday.
No, and I am sure this won't be worse than last. They might try to controll the people more and might crack down harder on those of us that refuse death shot. I am sure that will worn us 4 Billion will die this time. well one way or another.
there's already been outbreaks, bigger ones too... here and there
I'm more worried about the Junta virus in the USA.
Personally, I'd vote for torpedoing all cruise ships.
The people on the plague ship are gonna die. So it is a mercy to make it quicker for them.
I say quarantine them on an island, like Little St. James. If the Gilligan crew could. make it, they should be fine
Silly Poppy 😂😆
Typical comedian Poppy
Look the reality is the authorities are responsible for ensuring all the passengers are treated or quarantined
Quarantine them on an island
@purplepoppy I heard that they did exactly that, put them on an island šļø
Let them off to a quarantine before they turn you into a zombie 🤣🤣
Being sick kills the weak. We need way more of this
WTF. Did you learn nothing from Covid?
hentai virus you say?
No, why would they do that?
