They are projecting, or they are trying to put themselves above him when the likely truth is that he is successful and they are losers. We see this all the time on GAG. Some MAGAt posts some bullshit, someone says "What's your source?" and inevitably it ends with the poster acting like a third-grader in a playground argument saying "Well, you're a poopy head" or something similar.

Probably because of all the gay sex they are having while also saying they are straight.

That is the definition of a closeted gay. Not very common in today's society, but back when I was younger, being gay was not as accepted, so they lived a double life.
