let's compare the COSTS. cost of no trump war: athens and baghdad annihilated, millions dead and more wounded and burnt by iran nukes.

cost of war: iran blocks shipping and prices go up. the smaller COST is paying $5 a gallon until iran surrenderers.

but you focus on cost what about gain?

gain of no war: ONLY iran GAINS atom bombs. nobody else gains anything!

gains of war: iran stopped funding, unable to fund terrorism to hezbollah & houthi & hammas! that is amazing gain!

Iran doesn't have any nuclear weapons, but what they do have is the fear in Trump that there might be nuclear weapons. Even worse, Trump is afraid that if he loses the war, he might lose some money, and if he wins the war, he might lose some money. Understand how this works, or should I explain it to you?

This is also not accepted, and it wouldn't work because this is completely contrary to how their culture works. This is something that people in the United States have never understood, and that's why we have so much trouble with them. Just leave them alone. Let them live their lives the way they want to, even if you don't approve of them.

The Iranians do not want to be "freed" from the mullahs or anybody else. These are their political and religious leaders, and they have some respect for them. Also remember that they essentially selected them. They are not interested in democracy. That is a fantasy that you have. As a Westerner, you've been conditioned to believe that democracy is the be-all and end-all of social and political systems. It is not. It is grossly vulnerable to corruption, as you can see in the United States today.

I have worked with Iranians and the younger people (it's a young society) hate the mullahs with a passion and would appreciate to get from them. I wrote as a succeeding system some form of democracy, how and what, they should decide.
By the way, as disgusting as the current US-American administration is, corruption is far more rampant and destructive in authoritarian countries.

In your eye, corruption is rampant in authoritarian countries, including the United States, which is a seriously authoritarian country, in case you haven't noticed it by now.

Six or seven people over the last few years. Yeah, they all want regime change that's why they left Iran. They aren't necessarily the biggest fans of the United States, they just see them as a tool to achieve their goal.
The United States is still a democratic country, but on a slippery slope downwards. May the midterm elections be with them.

Why do you think that the opinions of X number of young Iranians somehow represents the opinion of the entire people of the entire country? Do the opinions of the people you didn't talk to, which is the vast majority of them, count at all?

You can see a certain correlation between a young society and the occurrence of uprisings and protests. Having your sister or girlfriend getting arrested for wearing lipstick is nothing the vast majority of people are willing to accept any longer.

I said "not", because congress and the entire Dummycrat party is undermining trump's ability to win the war in any realistic manner. You cannot win a war when half your own government intentionally wants to lose the war.

- You have no plan to do so.
- Your equipment is second-rate and doesn't work very well.
- Most importantly, the geography doesn't favor you and you didn't plan for that.

Oh, I told the Generals several years ago that "smart munitions" were more trouble than they were worth. It doesn't make sense to use a million dollars bomb to destroy a $25,000 dollars target. I totally get that, and wrote letters to congress and Joint Chiefs and the Supreme Court must be ten years ago about that problem during the end of the Afghan war.

The United States generals and senators do not understand how Attrition works. You can't win a war if every round of munitions you fire at the enemy costs 40 times more than what they are doing to counter you. The supposedly "advanced 5th generation" fighters and bombers we have are USELESS in real warfare.

I have 7 years completed in various STEM related subjects from university, so I actually understand how bombs and missiles work, which the average USA Senator does not even know how to wipe their own ass correctly.

It makes perfect sense for the people who build and sell the million-dollar bomb, and in the US that's all that counts: profit. I think it's important to remember that money, corruption, and grift are behind all of the things you have mentioned. Nobody is trying to win a war here? People are trying to generate profits. Or that you can keep going but you don't try to end is far more profitable than one that you actually do win.

Well, I will remind you the war in Afghanistan lasted for literally 20 years. The reason for that was that U. S. companies were making lots of money there, and this was primarily defense contractors, but lots of other companies as well that were supplying things to their troops, like food and clothing and anything else you think of that wasn't an armament. That was 20 years of profits for U. S. defense industries. Nobody is in a hurry to win this war. This, of course, includes the Iranians who have realized that our government and military, while incompetent, are conveniently incompetent, and they too are making money from this.

They are certainly not going to come and take our land or try to make us into slaves because we have nuclear weapons. This is the beauty of nuclear weapons: they constitute an insurance policy that prevents those sorts of things from happening, and they do not actually have to be used. As a matter of fact, they don't actually even have to exist. All that needs to be done is that the country that claims to have them has to be very convincing about the fact of their possession of them.
