These comedy news shows shows with political bias have become old hat especially when you consider that some youtuber can do the same with 1% of the same budget. Most of the budget for the show is spent on colbert.

Brett Cooper highest viewership was 189 million, while Stephen colbert recently beat his highest rating at his his shows finale with 6.55 million. Those figures can't be escaped.
