Do you ever watch Late Night with Steven Colbert?

CBS decided it would cancel Steven Colbert. The network says that his ratings were bad and the network was losing money. The liberals say that since President Trump is suing them over the 60 Minutes fake Kamala Harris interview. Did anyone ever watch the show? Did you think he was funny>?

All of the late night shows have been losing money in the tens of millions per year for the last 8 or 9 years, and it gets worse each year. The major drop happened in 2015 when those shows became hyper-political instead of focusing on entertainment as they'd always done before. Ever since, they've been hemorrhaging audience share, especially among younger people.

Colbert's audience has a mean age in the 70s, with only a small percentage of his audience in the 25-54 "key demo" that advertisers care about. That's largely his own fault because his editorial decisions drove away his ow audience.

And they didn't fire him, they chose not to renew the contract for the entire show. Kimmel and Fallon are going to meet the same fate - the entire format is going away because there just isn't an audience for it anymore.

Nope. He wasn't even funny 30 years ago when he was a supporting guest character on the Daily Show before that entire cast sold out and went woke. When John would bring on the "reporters" like Stephen Colbert, John Oliver, etc. it was always lame. Colbert just continued to get lamer over time as he had fewer coat tails to ride and has he shilled harder for communism and fake narratives and sold his soul. He's a real loser.

I stopped watching Colbert shortly after he left “The Daily Show”. His conservative extremist schtick was funny when it was just that. Once he got access to a wider audience and it was clear that he actually believed the nonsense he was meant to be parodying, i completely lost interest. It appears that i’m not the only one.
I think that’s a good thing.

No. I watched the Colbert Report every now and then. At least then he was somewhat funny. The bits and pieces that I saw of this show were unwatchable, politics aside.

No. While I like Steve Colbert the person I really had had enough of the character he played on comedy central. And let's be honest, the character he plays on late night isn't much of a departure from that.

Good ratings or bad, look at his history before the daily show. The dude turned meager talent into a payday. So I got to give it up to Steve.
