What makes a person truly wise? And why is it important in life to be so?

Knowing the right course of action for the future. Decisions today that turn out for the best 5, 10 years down the road.

Feminism for example. Women have killed millions of their own children, millions of women do porn, the relationship, birth rate is in collapse, divorce rates are through the roof, women have broadly supported their own culture's destruction through uncontrolled mass immigration from incompatible cultures and degeneracy is RAMPANT.

Women, in mass, choosing everything based on instant pkeasure and selfishness and hedonism, getting on the pill, going to college and sleeping around, becoming psycho activists and rampant premarital sex instead of moms has destroyed the west.

Instead of being grandparents with 4 and five kids and families and legacies they are on tiktok posting where are the good men videos in their cars at age 45, single, body counts of 30 and above voting for abortion and no borders.

Everything is choice and freedom (freedom to be degenerate and vile) and ZERO accountability, dury, honor, responsibility.

Decisions made 40-50-60 years have shown to be UNWISE. Thousands of years of proven tradition thrown out in the lie of "Freedom" and "pleasure".

I'd say its when you have enough wisdom to actually use it so that when a challenge is presented you are capable of making smart informed decisions. People called me wise in the past when I share things that they find profound or never thought off but what helped them in life. They never called me wise if I know something they don't know.

So for example if you know enough trivea to win a TV show that isn't wisdom that is just knowledge. But if you get confronted with someone angry and you know to calm them down and help them instead of yelling back that's wisdom.

A person becomes wise living their best version of themselves and learns from mistakes. Also learns from other people. If I wasn't wise I would have to walk around wearing a helmet 🪖 to protect me.

You don't necessarily need a lot of experience in life to be wise. You just need to be observant and rational. For example... someone who has never been in a relationship can see everyone else fucking around and making a mess of their relationships for stupid reasons, and they can choose to simply avoid the same mistakes, filter people more intelligently, etc. If you're wise, you have more a chance to have success in a relationship than someone who's experienced relationships many times.

They learn the harsh lessons life teaches as and are able to convey it well. They are able to introspect and ask the hard questions like 'what went wrong here?' and "what could i have done better?'

It's important so we continue to be better versions of ourselves. We also learn what we are and are not capable of. so yeah its important.

True wisdom is knowing that you know nothing.

When you're young you think you know everything. You're headstrong, and life teaches you what you really don't know. But the problem is as you age you actually know more. But you tend to become cynical. And that knowledge can be dangerous. Now, you may actually know what you're talking about. But your experience can actually lead you to false conclusions if you're not careful. This is when you truly know your wise. While you use your experience you never ASSUME you have it all figured out. We're lifetime learners. And life is always a teacher, one way or another.

Wisdom comes with experience. That’s why older people tend to be more wise.

You can have the best schooling in the world but without the experience to back it up it’s not very good.
You need the hands-on and that will make you wiser along with other worldly experiences.

I think it is distinguishing between the essential ingredients of life and perhaps items that give pleasure momentarily that impulse might lead to.

Like a committed stable relationship versus cheating with some one who sexually arouses you. Or choosing a life of sexual novelty which many do choose now. A life of sexual novelty comes to an end when you become sexually invisible. It might not be the wisest course.

It's their understanding of reality. Not necessarily the mathematical knowledge of it, but to understand it. This is why being wise is associated with great advice & council, whereas a lot of Academics are stupid & barely understand subjects beyond accepting the formula given to then.
