Sometimes less is more.
For example, if you have some grand plan for a business initiative or a military operation and you need to communicate that to a large group of people who will be required to execute this complex grand plan. So you dump 30 pages of ideology and instructions on the organization with diverse individual capabilities complete with intricate milestones and timelines. What do you think the chances are your grand plan gets executed as you imagined? What if instead you broke it down to 3 essential elements in a way you could communicate in 30 seconds to almost anyone? Then you delivered new goals and requirements periodically to keep the plan moving forward.
In the former instance all your complex planning may go to hell within weeks...
In the latter instance, a simple limited communication will be easier to digest...
I'm a huge believer in simplicity.
I agree in a lot of places.
It’s like saying “slow is smooth, smooth is fast”
Which sounds like a contradiction at first.
But it’s the philosophies used by most successful people
“More” is a trap. It’s what they want you to aim for.
But by going for the right kind of “less” you find yourself with way more
Hence: less is in fact more.
Great minds think alike!!
When it comes to clothing in the bedroom, definitely.
When it comes to food... no. Imagine going to a party and they have very little food.
When it comes to a living space, minimalist designs do look clean, but too little isn't appealing either.
It always depends on the scenario
As a metaphor for having stuff? I agree. My wife and I declutter fairly regularly. Today I'm taking six boxes to donate to a thrift store, mostly old clothing. We don't buy much new, a lot of it came from thrift and resale stores. They are still nice to wear, but we don't wear them so...
Depends on what is being made "less" I suppose.
Cutting off arms and legs is certainly "less," but you don't get any "more" from it.
Of course it just depends on what it is.
More mushrooms on my pizza 🍕 is always better!
Yelling at me more is not 🚫 better!
Disagree.
Less is less and more is more. These words aren’t interchangeable.
Not necessary, If I’m at an all you can eat pizza buffet or Italian food buffet I’m gonna clean house not eat a little bit. So less is not more for me on that one lol 😂
Depends what the LESS is. Sometimes MORE is LESS.
no. it litterally isn't. by definition. call me pedantic but that's what words mean xD
In most cases, I agree.
The more you have the more pressure it puts on you both mentally and emotionally to carry.
That depends on what it is. It can be, like make-up or clothing.
Ah. A devotee of Bucky Fuller, I see.
Lol!! Yes...
Entirely depends on the context.
For most things, yes.
@thegreenyogi I have heard that before
At times it certainly is. Good point!
Depends, but it can be quite often.
With some things less is more.
One is none, two is one.
Depends. Moderation is generally king
Depends on the context
Maybe in golf.
Sometimes.
For the goys, yes.
