Would you or did you encourage feminine and masculine rolls in your children in their play and with toys?

How did you, or do you want your children to grow up, with clearly defined rolls, or something differentin?

What is your opinion?

in my opinion, refusing to acknowledge that males and females are different and have different roles and interests and priorities is what is REALLY sexist.

This Feminist idea of pushing women into careers has directly led to a birthrate collapse, and most people today have NO IDEA how negatively that is going to affect them. It's going to cause worldwide economic and societal collapse as there aren't going to be nearly enough young people to do the real jobs that allow society to function.

Guess what happens to all of the office jobs and influencer jobs when you can't keep the power on? When there aren't enough sailors to move cargo or load and unload ships or drive trucks? When there aren't enough people to drill for oil or operate refineries? When there aren't enough people to run farms? That is literally coming and it will take generations to fix.

All this because a handful of women decided that all women should reject womanhood and embrace male priorities. Women are more miserable and more medicated than ever before, and huge numbers of women are going to spend the second half of their lives alone. That can be fun when you are young, but not so much when you are older.

Too many people have been delusional for too long, but nature will correct the problem - but it will cause an incredible amount of suffering that few are prepared for.

Babies born with penises are boys and they should grow up to become men.

Babies born with vaginas are girls and they should grow up to become women.

When they are adults, one man should marry one woman, and they should teach their boys too become men and their girls to become women.

That is the way it has been done for millenia and it has worked to make our species survive. Anyone who thinks they have a better plan is quite arrogant to think they are smarter than all the billions of people who have come before us.

My son had some dolls, Harry Potter, a barbie, some itty bitty race cars. If he wasn't interested, I didn't get him stuff. He had blocks to build with, which I liked myself as a kid. He wanted to play football, but since he was small and slim I told him not until he got his grades up, and he never did. Solved that.

He got into skateboarding, which worked for his build and with friends. I tried to offer him broader exposure than only typical "boy" toys. But kids like to be the same. I don't think I harmed him. He seems well adjusted at 30!

I'm not a mother but I'm a very generous aunt.

I love buying and gifting toys to my nephews and nieces.

And, yeah, the toys I gave wear often geared towards their genders.

There were exceptions such sports gear when my nephews and nieces were in the playing in the same golf, softball or soccer teams, for example.

I don't think that any question should be left in a kid's mind as to their gender.

I would dress the girls like girls and the boys like boys.

As a youngster, I gravitated toward heroes like Zorro, Roy Rogers and Batman.
I had a cowboy hat, vest, and a gun belt with a pair of Fanner Fifty toy guns.
I liked dinosaurs, model WWI and WWII airplanes, toy guns, and cars.

My sister, who is three years younger, had various dolls, a Barbie and Ken, a Barbie car, a Suzie Homemaker oven, and a doll house. She had no interest in guns or airplanes or running around the neighborhood playing army.

But we played lots of board games, as well as indoor and outdoor games together. We had a Flintstones set and would play for hours, incorporating Flintstones, Disney characters, cowboy figurines, and dinosaurs, moving them around and inventing dialogue.
I sometimes played with her dolls with her.

We played together in the neighbor's pool and roller skated and rode our bikes all around. We both loved the ocean and we hiked and explored together when our family went camping.

She was fit and could be tom boyish at times. But there was no question that I was a boy and she was a girl. I played with guy friends and did rough guy things, she played with girls.

I remember 20 years at this point in 7th grade class reading an autobiography of a woman another 20 years in the past who's brother would play dolls with her in an Alaskan village.

The teacher spoke about how the book was foreshadowing the brother being gay and the tragedy of a future death from AIDS. No one in my class picked up him being gay but was just playing with his sister. That was the go to identifying moment but that was weird to even the teacher spelling it out for us.

You can see it in his eyes for him the younger generation is changing. Its also the time f***** was common to hear in the hallways. It did stop being the go to insult just before I got out of high-school.

I would buy gendered toys for my children (which I don't have yet) because I had gendered toys and I turned out fine. With a good streak of misogyny fully operational and no gender confusion at all.

In any opposite gender toys don't work except with maybe trans kids and that might be why... that is happening.

My children definitely received a gender imbalance of toys, dolls for my daughter, cars for my son. But not to a great degree.

On the one hand, I didn't want to push them into stereotypical roles. On the other hand, i tried to follow both of their interests. There's not a great deal to be gained by pretending to kids that men and women don't have somewhat different roles on average, in my opinion.

Up to you if you read that as gentle propagation of existing stereotypes or a gentle push against them.

They both seem to have turned out with healthy views of men and women.

If I have make some test with pink white doll, black doll and Ferrari model depending on child's gender. I won't disown and giving up my parent rights instantly but this will give that child massive minus points of course there will be more test until I call my notary to make necessary choices.

Those toys weren’t made to make children understand their gender. Those were made in response to the market’s demand. Sally wants a doll to dress up and Daddy is going to get her one. Tommy wants cars so he can make them crash into each other. Guess what Tommy is getting for Christmas?

My sons had mostly boy toys, cars, trucks and building sets. My daughter had mostly girl toys, dolls, art sets, houses, tea sets. That didn't stop my sons and daughters from playing with each other's toys. The three of them sometimes had tea parties or built a LEGO building together.

Yes, I did not want my sons playing with dolls. One time my daughter was complaining that her doll's clothes were on backwards and were messed up. I figured my boys were doing some weird naked stuff with the dolls. i questioned them about it and they just giggled and would not admit it. Later I found out that they were dressing up our cats in doll clothes.

I don't think I would push it but I would atomically think girls want dolls and boy want cars. As a kid I play with both. I guess if you end up having one of each you'll probably see them playing with each other toys.

I would buy them toys and clothes that fit their gender. If one day they want to play with something else or dress a different way, that’s fine when they can make that decision.

When I'll have children, I probably wouldn't try hard to give them certain toys. They can pick what they like. Though I probably wouldn't let a hypothetical son play with a lot of girl toys.
