What will happen to the war in Ukraine if Putin is gone for one reason or another?

The war will end and the Russians will give back all the territory gained in Ukraine.

The war will continue nonetheless because the Russians will not give up what they have gained with so much blood and toil.

When Putin goes, new Tsar get elected who will try to pander to west again while following secretly further Russian robbery politics. War in Ukraine will be halted, but not ended. Similar like Korean conflict where South and North Korea are still in war, there is only ceasefire.
Russia can't turn in peaceful country, because all controlled puppet states will start to crave for independency from Moscow. On the other hand Russia can't afford being exposed to sanctions and having critical infrastructure destroyed by enemy that gains every week better deep strike capabilities due having rich and industrialized supporters.
Another puzzle in Russian politic is China. China rejected to invest in plans of building oil and gas pipelines from Siberia to Chinas industrial regions, what would make Russia less dependent from EU's money. China turned out not to be the ally Russia wanted to have, because Chinas ruling class thinks Russia is incapable to reform its economy to become a worthy ally for China, instead they turned Russia in client state.
Russia is a failed empire that failed two decades ago and still think they have something to say outside their own backyard.

Ukranian is single hardly the strongest military in the world right now. They have battle field knowledge and logistics of everything drone warfare.

The second in command is more impulsive and aggressive than Putin. He's results oriented and believes Ukraine will not exist within the next year. Means justify the ends sort of guy... So basically the war would get more violent.

It will end. Putin walked jnto America's trap in Ukraine and can't get out. He can't win through military force but if he pulls out he will look weak at home which is a death sentence
