Why is talking about group stereotypes so often labeled sexist or racist?

For instance if someone ask a question about why some men rape, why do some men hurt women... there is always someone out there calling that person a sexist, claiming that women are equally violent too and can also be rapists. Yes, there are but it's obviously not at the same ratio globally. Otherwise there would be no need for women's self-defense classes nor other men protecting us. Obviously men are more stronger than us and more prone to react with physical aggression meanwhile our anger is expressed differently.

If someone ask why do are some women catty, into gossiping and plotting things against other... once again there is someone out there pointing out how certain men can also act like that. Yes true but not at the same equal ratio. I don't do that but others do. More women than men do that because that's compensating for our lack of physical strength so we can be relational aggressive.

Then similar with certain stereotypes that happen to coincide with the ethnicity or race. Why do some blacks wear wig or act violent? Why do Latina mother hit their children so much? I'm Latina myself but that stereotype of the crazy hispanic mother chasing her child with flipflops or a belt isn't going away... sadly. Same as the one about how we're all hot-tempered and jealous with our husbands. False with me. Why are white, American mother so soft, permissive? That's the other extreme of parenting. Italians involved with the Mafia (ever since Hollywood movie The Godfather) and obsessed with coffee, etc.

It's even worse when someone acts so defensive with a stereotype that fits their group but they act like the stereotype they hate or even glorify it... so why act defensive if you're acting like the stereotype.. be actively against it just like I do with the one I hate. But honestly why is pointing at the obvious called racism or sexist nowadays? Even if there is some truth to it. Stereotypes and gender assigned behaviors exist for a reason.

If you don't want to be generalize or categorized like the stereotype then act the opposite of the stereotype.
