Why are stereotypes still a thing?

Because patterns are still a thing. You touch a fire and find it hot. You later touch another fire and find it hot as well. You will quickly come to realize that fires are hot, and assume that going forward. It's not actually true; there are plasmas that burn at less than four hundred degrees below zero, but that's not what you're going to think, because being burned hurts, and is dangerous.

So does being the victim of bigotry due to stereotypes, of course, but asking people to set aside basic deductive logic isn't the answer.

Well, most are just stupid things people say, however a handful are accurate, i have an Asian friend who drives a modified Honda type R and keeps a katana in his car, he could have anything for protection in that car but he picked a katana

What I mean by this (said in a drunk moment) is what has happened for people to just decide we shouldn't use them anymore we still live in a time where people ask why do women do bla bla bla or why do men bla bla bla so why wouldn't people stereo type when we still see inderviduals as part of a collective which yes may sometimes have over arching similarities but I would say still unfair to treat them all the same way
