According to the Institute of Economics and Peace, the USA is the least peaceful country on Earth. Now I'm sure as long as you avoid certain parts, the USA is probably a nice enough place, there's benefits to living and statistically always done OK financially. No one's going to deny that.
BUT, I'd argue whether or not a country has failed or succeeded isn't measured in how many Walmarts, nukes, or gold it's got, but by its ability to afford its citizens with a peace safe life.
Given most Americans live in constant fear and need a comfort gun by their side 24/7 and based on countless Q&As I've read on here, I'm going to agree with the report.

The USA is the least peaceful country. Has it failed as a nation?
So… you’re in favor of fascism too? Sweet! The only way to guarantee safety and security is strict enforcement of laws. I agree that the US is wildly lenient with violent criminals. Somehow they are simultaneously strict on law abiding citizens. That’s capitalism at work! Law abiding citizens are typically working taxpayers who have money that the government can extract under threat of legal penalties. Criminals often have little to nothing. The best Uncle Sam can do is put them into a prison work program. I say execute every single violent repeat offender on conviction for their second offense. Do it publicly and make everyone with one strike watch. I could all but completely end violent crime in the US in a single generation. Unfortunately our pillowy soft younger generations would take exception with that. They call it fascism, which it technically is. But so is mercy for the wicked. Not everyone, as you suggest, but a lot of people live in fear and more yet are forced to plan for events that should never take place in a civilized society. That kind of uncertainty is far more treacherous than worrying about facing appropriate consequences for my own bad behavior. After all, all one has to do is NOT break the law. That is way easier than the modern liberals want you to think. If you want a safe and secure environment, stop coddling criminals. That’s all there is to it.
If it was the least peaceful, why would everyone want to come here? And maybe it is those illegals who come here that are making it unpeaceful? I would think some of these African countries, like Nigeria, would be less peaceful, or even Iran. We can't leave out Russia either. Putin doesn't care if his whole country is going to pot and losing over a million men in the war with Ukraine. He is the one you have to be ware of. He has lots of nukes and it is only time that he will use them on someone.
The US isn't the one who started shooting missiles at tankers in the Gulf. That was Iran - the same Iran that has stated numerous times on television (for everyone to see) that they want nuclear bombs because they intend to attack America and Israel with them.
Tons of Europeans and others are in the US right now and some recently were here and they have seen with their own eyes what America is like. Some have also seen Canada. In both cases, people haven't found what the media suggested. America has been found almost universally to be wonderful, and Canada (at least, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal) have been found to be dirty, unsafe, and crazy expensive.
But the media won't report that because it goes against the narrative.
I love living here. Yep, I have guns. Yep, I carry the but rarely do. I am ok with others carrying openly. I will go into sketchy areas even now as I grew up in one and used to it. My biggest risk is being shot on the road during road rage by other drivers if I piss them off which I am certainly capable of doing.
But I will take being free with the associated risks than give my guns to the state and then 30 years later find myself getting arrested for linking Facebook posts that tell of the massive amounts of gang rape going on by Africans and Pakistanis coming in for government benefits.
@purplepoppy That's not what the chart shows. The least peaceful country is Russia, with the highest score. Note that the chart specifically says "Lower score = more peaceful". US score is 2.54, Russia is 3.37. There are 29 countries less peaceful than the US.
Well now, historically the US has been picked on a lot. So you need to cut them a break
Right after Independence, a state sponsored terrorist organisation - the Barbary pirates - started attacking US ships and enslaving the crews. And it has just gone on from there.
For fairness: I have lived in ''difficult'' areas, but never seriously got to harm.
The U. S. are about to fail as a socio-economic experiment though. Give them another 75 to 100 years and they are done in their present arrangement.
''Peace'' perhaps is not the most important factor. Where social stability or beer supply (ignore Budweiser) or libido are a lot more of public interest.
@Danzigdawson he's an idiot because he's right? Something like 18 of the top 20 most dangerous cities are democrat controlled. Democrats have fallen far from their tough on crime policies if the Clinton Era.
I guess it's better than being a white British girl and being groomed and raped by Pakistani Muslims, and having my government deny it. Or dying from lack of air conditioning.
It's not a coincidence that the country that threatens other countries the most with bombing and military invasion is the country that by far and away has the most public mass shootings and the most school shootings in the developed world.

''Everyone'' minus at least me, darling :)
Roll eyes.

If you live in a democrat controlled city you are living in a war zone. You get the government you deserve when you vote for these morons.
Living in a more citizen friendly state like Florida is a different story.
😄😄😄😄😄😄😄 What an idiot!
@Danzigdawson he's an idiot because he's right? Something like 18 of the top 20 most dangerous cities are democrat controlled. Democrats have fallen far from their tough on crime policies if the Clinton Era.
@FrodoSkywalker007 Chicago averages one murder every day. A lot more than Beirut.
I guess it's better than being a white British girl and being groomed and raped by Pakistani Muslims, and having my government deny it. Or dying from lack of air conditioning.
Notice how @purplepoppy makes stuff up. We can just ignore all of the social media posts of Europeans visiting the US.
@purplepoppy I have to know, does it physically hurt to be so obsessed? Or is it just emotional pain?
Three posts, no reply. I'd be tempted to say you're the obsessed one.
@Danzigdawson only for you
Ah, so you're the same account as that @fishbone77 idiot.
@Danzigdawson weire claim. But after checking your profile, I'm not surprised.
*weird

Institute of Economics and Peace is ran by idiots who are privileged enough to not understand how bad other countries are then that's all this says.
The United States are well on their way to become an actual failed state ever since trump's first term.
I’m American, and this is likely true anymore with that a-hole running the country’s goodwill into the dirt.
that's all lies. just ask all the world cup fans that have visited. they love it here and are pissed that they were lied to about the US.
We failed as a nation long ago, and it wasn't because of peace.
Nope not at all, we were born of violence because that was the only answer to the problem and we've proven we are excellent at violence!
Of course it's a failure. It is an utter, complete, despicable, disgraceful failure.
@msc545 you must be fun at parties
better than israel, there its just a war zone
We are in the process of failing.
People have been saying that for 50 years.
@Jersey2 this is the first time I am saying that.
The US is stunningly resilient.
Say that to the homeless people.
another jealous eruofag.
Depends on who's their current president.
Not surprising
