Why do some people think bullying others make them look cool?

It makes them look like a person full of sadness and anger.

People who spend their time bullying others are most likely insecure or unhappy people.

Being insecure or having an unhappy life doesn’t equal coolness.

I had one brother whose entire life can be summarized to insecure bullying. He even called himself satan as a kid. It's unbelievable how much of a bully he always was, and last i heard from him still is, and terribly insecure at the same time. I can't tell which part of us chooses whether to identify with the aggressor and which chooses to stay the conscious sufferer, but i can tell you that all insecurity comes from shit parenting, and bullies choose to identify with the aggressor. He always talked like "life" itself is cruel, which, i guess is a hallmark of a bully, someone who identified with the aggressor, and now in order to process the grief it does not suffice to blame the original bully, he also has to blame himself and face the torment that is much harder to process than merely being a victim, until he feels the pain of his victims his own heart will be numb, and that's not a fun way to live. ㅤ
