I was trying to see based on what criteria? If they judge on general wealth, access to health care and jobs and material possessions then I see why UK is quite up there. Because we do have "a lot" compared to many poorer countries. But happy? Work and material things do not make people happy. Living longer cos of health care doesn't make people happy. Human connection - close bonds - make people happy and the work, material things, Internet, all segregate people and cause unhappiness. This big drive to be independent and strive to get ahead alone. Countries with a more shared dependency, I think, our more happy. They may have strife but they have support from eachother in strife.
You just read the methodology on what data and how it is collected, and you know it's nonsense. Therefore I don't care if my country ranks well or badly on it.
That's a completely fair, logical, and valid standpoint.
I'm developing a deep respect for your intellect. You're more than just a pretty face clearly. Not trying to hit on you, I promise. Just an honest compliment.
Thanks ๐
Its probably worse. It's that way because of all the brainwashed liberal dem. They turn a fresh crop out from school every year. That can't be legal. And you should hear those arrogant, unfiltered assholes!
Agreed man. Liberals are ruining countries worldwide
they tend to measure "happiness" by the metrics that won't bring you happiness but are potential grounds for it, among with many other things that can also make you unhappy, so...
never cared for these, no
In the past decade, the U. S. has steadily fallen to 23rd from its historical position in the top 15.
I haven't lived in any other countries, so I can't compare from personal experience, but that ranking seems more than likely accurate.
Broadly yes most Australians are happy enough. Progressives are professionally sour grapes people. If we could get rid of them, the happiness index would go up.
I guess even if that's not the case for me personally.
I think so. That is why I want to move to Finland or Norway
