It's naïve.
I see no reason to be "respectful" to a rapist, racist or serial killer - regardless of their beliefs.
The quote should actually read "No matter how different your beliefs may be, you should never be unjust" As that is more correct and reasonable. You don't need to interact with people you don't like. But when you have to, don't treat them wrong and fall outside of moral bounds.
There's nothing naive about it. You're just going off on a tangent, and harping on stupid bullshit. Oh here, let me fix it because some random guy on the internet said so. No one on here needs your correction. By the way, you look like a jackass putting respectful in quotation marks. There was no reason to do that. There you go. There's some correction for you as well.
