Nobody's asking for complete tolerance of everything. We already don't tolerate things like murder or rape, that's not controversial. Popper's paradox (described well in your graphic) is about something narrower: whether we tolerate ideas and movements that aren't violent, but could destroy tolerance itself if left unchecked.

Funny how the same people worried about tolerating too much go quiet when it's their own side facing accountability. The Epstein files are still fighting court battles over redactions right now, years after transparency laws supposedly forced full disclosure. Selective outrage is its own kind of intolerance.

Even if you were to argue that this was edited to make Netflix look bad, then explain why Nye changed his stance to this in Bill Nye Saves the World that gender is all a spectrum.

If there was a genuine mistake and a correction has been made, why not show where we started and admit we were wrong? We did that with asbestos and cigarettes, what's the harm of doing that with gender if there is no legitimate effort to rewrite science to fulfill a specific agenda?

Also isn't science all about questioning everything? That's the entire point of the scientific method. If you think something's off, you should be allowed to say it.

For example, if gender is a social construct, then what exactly is solidifying your identity as the gender you choose to be other than gender stereotypes? At least before we had bone and brain structure, and body parts.

It's only "hurting" the delusional because we refuse to completely rewrite things that are generally true because outliers exist. It's the same reason why we haven't accepted things like Klinefelter or Turner Syndrome as new sexes, they are anomalies. That also doesn't mean that we treat those who have them like garbage. Gender dysphoria is an anomaly where someone legitimately thinks they are born as the wrong sex, similarly as delusional as those who think there are aliens that live in their walls.

Yes, we complain because this new interpretation of gender goes against all logic. Science is evidence based, which is why we have been saying that women have XX chromosomes, XY are men and that's it. It was never completely based on how the person in question feels.
