Human habitation of the Americas began at least 21,000 to 23,000 years ago.

The first human habitation of the British Isles began around 900,000 years ago, characterized by intermittent occupation, multiple hominin species, and ice-age migrations before continuous habitation started around 11,000 to 12,000 years ago.

The England began its conquest of Ireland in the late 1100s but the British Empire expanded in the late 1500s after Europeans began naval explorations, trade and conquests around the world.

The British first came to America in the late 16th century, with key milestones including Roanoke Island (1585), Jamestown (1607), and Plymouth (1620).

The USA was officially founded in 1776 when the original 13 British colonies declared independence from Britain.

England has longer history. The Kingdom of Great Britain is 70-80 years older than the US, older yes but not by much.

Before Great Briton there were the independent kingdoms of England and Scotland who than became united as Great Britain in 1707. Earlier James I became king of both realms but it was a personal union in 1606.

Before then, there were the 7 anglo saxon kingdoms which were united by Athestan as England in 927.

The Anglo Saxons smooched in when Rome withdrew from Britain in 410 AD.

Before then Rome conquered the British people in their various confederacies in 43 AD. Along the way, the original British people were pushed into Wales to become Welsh.

So when you "older yes but not by much" there is much more to be considered.

When people say Britain they usually mean England as that is what the Romans called everything south of Hadrian's wall. The called Scotland Caledonia.

England/Britain is quite a lot older than US and Great Briton.
