Has anyone else noticed immature behavior in today’s 55+ communities?

I sometimes go to the pool in the neighborhood of the one my mom moved into and I’ve overheard multiple people talking about how they live there with their boyfriend or girlfriend. Yeah, that would never fly in my grandparents generation. Super inappropriate. I wish I could say it to their face.

Speaking as an immature 55+, can you be a little bit specific about what you think is wrong? Is it the use of "boyfriend" and "girlfriend", rather than the more mature "lover"?

Or is it that you think "old" people shouldn't be in relationships that aren't marriage?

Bear in mind, you're talking about people who experienced the 1960's-1980's.
