Is the UK mostly beautiful or mostly dirty overall in real life?

When it comes to opinions about the UK, I hear either it's extremely beautiful or a shithole. It seems people are a bit polarized in this matter as if there is no inbetween. For those who live there or have visted, What's your opinion?

There are a lot of really old structures there. Homes, buildings, roads, and bridges. So it looks "older" overall than most of the US as we just don't have that history going back to the dark ages, LOL. For an American, that stuff is cool, quaint, and interesting. Not sure how Brits perceive it. Parts of the cities like London, Liverpool, Birmingham, and Aberdeen can be sort of raunchy. But overall it just looks older, not dirty to an outsider.

Suburban areas and countryside are still nice.

Country is really reeling from 30 years of self-destructive policies, mass migration, unfettered socialism and the general worship of mediocracy and toxic empathy. The urban areas are most affected.

What tends to happen is people who want to trash the UK pick certain streets and claim the whole place looks like that. Even in so called dodgy cities like Glasgow or Liverpool it's generally only a small part that's run down.

People either photograph the beautiful or the worse, rarely in between because that doesn't fit their agenda. 99% of the worst pictures you see online are taken in 1% of the country.

I love the architecture and countryside in the UK. As long as you don't go to a public toilet it's all good... They're the worst 😵

Generally is UK like most west European countries. It's clean but you can find dirty places. In most countries around the world it's dirty but you can find occasionally very clean places.

The countryside is usually clean, the cities are a bit dirtier than ours but nothing really outrageous. I have not visited known troubled areas, though.

Sans London, the U. K. is poorer than that Third World s**thole, Mississippi, and most Brits, lasses and lads, are ugly with horrid teeth, though I hear a lot of black U. K. lasses are great-looking and bosomy.

We all get weeks off work every year and health care that doesn't result in bankruptcy even with serious illnesses. Breaking Bad is incomprehensible.

Then people have been lying to you. The UK gets better results for half the cost (although I admit it could be better).

Brits (and Germans) can expect to live three more years than Americans, including 4 more healthy years. Better than any US state, and 10 years better than Mississippi.

It's mostly still intact where there aren't migrants. Their is a movement towards restoring what was lost. Hope it succeeds.

I have never been there before but I find British actresses such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Elizabeth Hurley and Keira Knightley to be pretty. Those three women are of British ancestry.

Basically stay away from cities and bigger towns that aren't tourist focused and you'll be fine.

The West End. The best end! What did you think of it? Did you see Tower Bridge? HMS Belfast (my uncle served on her in Korea)?

@goaded what I really enjoyed was seeing the Phantom of the opera with my family. That was awesome. That was the best experience that was one heck of a night

My cousin's son got gifted a meal at the Ritz for his 18th by his grandfather. I've never been there.

I did eat at Pont de la Tour a long time ago. I'm more of a Wagamama man, myself!
