The hot food tax is the reason?

so new york city charged 9% tax on foods. added more than state sales tax. but the words don't match the reality. the democrat politicians say the goal is affordibility but if so lower the tax to 5% but they don't.

one of the surprises in new york restaurants is: you see a price ln a menu.

they DON'T NEED to show you the amount you are agreeing to pay.

you see chicken $5 and agree to pay $5 but then the bill comes 5.44 surprise! not the amount you agreed.

too bad. the little letter said we don't show the 8.8% tax you need to add for food.

bottled water add tax 8.8% like many foods. they have these lists which food is exempt. but look at this coincidence!

they say 'don't worry' picture. wtf!

the "stuff you sell that gets taxed' we won't sell. really. instead of lowering tax they don't make it affordable. or sell 'prepared food like shops do so those are affordable' no they do opposite.

those buy from the shop where you add 9% tax! a tax bigger than other places' seles tax and on items like prepared or hot food not because 'revenue' but because that is the type the city taxes! see?

Thats the classic left wing government policy. They invent social programs and then tax the shit out of working people to pay for them.

The soviet union was a good example. The soviet union and Warsaw pact region a rich, fertile, oil/gas and mineral rich area yet the people were half starved queuing for bread as the price for funding international communism among other things.
