What would happen if corporal punishment was permanently banned worldwide?

Hypothetically speaking, if it were up to me to sign a law that enacts a total global ban (on every single country, islands, continents... the whole world) and my answer was the one that counted the most, I would definitely do it in a heartbreak.

What would happen if this hypothetical scenerio took over:

All of the sudden it isn't just 65 nations that prohibited physical punishment on kids and teens on all setting but the entire world. The child and others can report their caregivers for using a belt, slapping them or other weapon of choice and they either have to pay a fine or served 1-2 years of jail time, followed by a mandatory anger management and parenting classes.

What do you think would happen if a drastic change like that took over on all nations and it stayed permanently?

Consequence plus therapy has to be enough to avoid recurrence else more jails or more crime.

we kinda have that in muy state and what happens is ‘innocent’ people pay the price because the humans are not well trained or reconditioned.

yoi cannot assume all people have gokd hearts like yours. Many are wicked or easily corrupted and especially selfish.

just wait and see, i hope you dont experience it but you likely will. Cannot project yourself compassion and ethic into others that dont have it.

But seriously, between the two extremes... I'd rather deal with an arrogant, outspoken son (as long as he's not physically harming others nor animals and isn't a criminal) than my son being afraid of me and all quiet and super compliant out of fear.
I find the overly compliant people just not natural; most were forced into submission through fear-based compliance. For the longest I believed the worst thing you can do is be an authoritarian, mean parent, yuck.
But I believe there is a middle ground between entitled person and fearful compliant; I actually don't like neither of them.

Honestly, I find nothing useful about getting hit with a belt, even though it was seldom. I learned absolutely nothing useful related to my previous job nor my life. I can't find anything good other than just avoiding things to not get caught but secretly wishing my father would've taken the time to teach, not intimidate like a coward.
That only made me a quiet, obedient child but with that came side effects such as delayed in social skills and not speaking up when I really needed to, getting taking advantage of, getting bullied in my early school years because I didn't know how to progress socially, nor how to apply actual skills besides just getting good grades. I was developmentally stunt for years.

The world is filling up with entitled idiots with no discipline and no work ethic. That is a direct result of people coddling their kids’ sh*tty behavior for generations.
There is discipline and there is coddling and there is abuse. No one method for raising children will ever work for all children. Some kids can be disciplined with a stern word and reasoning. Others respond to nothing less than a swift swat on the butt. Swatting a sensitive child is as destructive as spoiling a hardened brat.
It’s unfortunate that you felt like your father did wrong, but never disciplining children anywhere ever again would absolutely be the ruination of the species. We’re well on our way right now and there are still disciplined and productive people in the world. When the takers outnumber the givers, we’re screwed.

Then according to you, I was that sensitive child that needed to be reasoned with and was sadly born at the year that didn't have non-physical consequences. I always felt things should've been better if he didn't remind me of that threat with the belt.
I'll give you an example of what even to someone that spanks would also be considered abuse:
My father threatening to hit me with the belt (my mom intervened) at age 14 when I lost my golden bracelet. That bracelet fell off my right wrist, after I had clearly told my parents in advance that the bracelet is slipping off. Since it was my godmother's gift and was extensive, he got hysterical like a lunatic. How is threatening with a belt even solving the issue of a lost personal item? I really hated him at that moment. I was like a grown-up (a young, woman) already, not a servant to be threatened into submission nor have my personal space invaded in a horrible manner.
Lastly, what on earth does losing an personal item has to do with a bad behavior? I didn't do it on purpose. I lost it. How on earth does getting threatened with a belt relates to the consequences of losing a personal item? I never trusted him 100% on everything, ever again and still don't.

Another example was him smacking me with his hands and yelling when I was 8 for not getting my math homework correctly after his 2nd explanation. Great, just great... so on top of doing nothing wrong, I want to learn and he had no patience to teach. Done out of pure frustration, in anger. How is yelling and smacking even helping with a child's math homework? Do they really think by doing that, their child is going to magically get the right answers and become the smartest kid at school?
