Why shouldn’t we criticize our own race, ethnicity, or country from time to time? Why should we pretend everything is perfect? I’m Latina, proud of my roots but even I criticize some aspects of my ethnic society and culture.

That's fair. But there's a difference between some criticism and saying you are "white fatigued." Lol. The latter has much more negative connotations in my humble opinion. Saying you are "white fatigued" means that you see your own race as a massive problem in society, which to me, is misguided

I’m not white, but I’ve been called “white passing” for a long time.
And all that fatigue stuff never made a shred of sense to me.


How can you let someone or some idea convince you to be tiered of yourself based on the race you didn’t chose.


I had this leftist girl I was seeing causally a long time ago who would say things like: she has white guilt over her colonizer roots


And I, who’s ancestors have been colonized, asked her:
Were you there? Have you personally partaken in colonial activities? Why are you guilty over something that ended before you were even born?


I never got a convincing answer.
All I understood was that she just needs a reason to be outraged even at the cost of self hatred.
