Canada should cut all trade ties with the USA completely until there's a new administration and reevaluate at that time. Dealing with the USA at this point is an insult, but that's not even the worst part. The Trump administration can not even be trusted to keep their end of a bargain, or their word. If I were a trade partner, I'd have no faith whatsoever that any deal with the USA would not just be abandoned at the whim of it's mentally unstable, adjudicated rapist leader.
The administration just announced plans to revoke 200,000 business and tourism visas, many of which are for asylum seekers. This is not only unprecedented, but beyond stupid, which is why it's not surprising coming from this administration. Any foreign leader with half a brain cell should not trust Trump to keep any agreement at all.

Better then china. I'm in alaska and Canada and usa gets into a cold toll war where all of alaska food gets doubled fuck.
All the goofy red vs blue civil war or Russia or china invading into alaska directly is complete nonsense. The mishandling of Canada relationship resulting in a berlin wall situation is the canary in the coal mine before anything else happens.
I'm able to with my wallet and phone as the only nessesity. clothes on my back preferable. Abandoning all property and mortgages. Grant myself a new beginning. It is fucking scary to think about.
I thought EU will expand to the east and south but it will expand westwards. XD
Scenario of many SF movies where US is isolated from Canada and Mexico with a thick wall and land mines become more real every month. Imagine Star Track EU and Canada and Handmaid's Tale in US. lol
@FreyaRed yep! Muslim Star Trek.
Where Europeans are taught as a cautionary tale of going against Allah, cause they are extinct.
Sharia is the law of the galaxy
Only the EVIL US survive, isolated, unwilling to allow grooming and rape gangs to take over.
Paradise on Earth, and Allah Akbar
The only holdout is
😂 😂 😂
Canada has a leader who doesn't bow down to Trump is what happened. Every other country should strengthen their ties and cut America out wherever possible.

Yes, but the winner from Trump's international policy is China. Have you noticed they have sat quietly while Trump has driven world leader after world leader to meet Xi in Beijing? Regardless of China's ambitions, they are a stable and predictable country that others can do business with. World surveys suggest the average man on the street trusts China more than the USA. 80 years of global soft diplomacy at great expense to former generation of Americans has been destroyed... the global system the US invested so much in building to serve their own interests... gone. Even military alliances are weakened.
It's funny that a couple of decades ago the height of humour was to laugh about 'Little Britain'. Now we laugh about 'Little America'.
@MrChinaski quite extreme. 😂
@FrodoSkywalker007 Flat out true, friend. Why do you think the Pentagon is seeking $1 trillion of your taxes... more than $2500 for every man, woman and child in the USA? It's to maintain the military might you used to have before damaging alliances.
So your argument is an increased military budget, when there has almost always been an increased military budget? 🤷♂️
I agree Trump is bad for relations.
However, he's also right in many cases. 🤷♂️
His biggest issue is not bring a good communicator like Reagan
@FrodoSkywalker007 I don't have an argument. The stated intention of the Administration is to withdraw the US from the role it has played for 80 years. To make the US less important globally. Less involved with other countries. It has done that and every day it continues to do that.
Seems an objective leftists desire 🤷♂️
@FrodoSkywalker007
They have zero clue that Trump is giving them exactly what they've asked for.
The entire tariff talk was in response to country's prioritization of social welfare over military budgets. Our taxpayers are tired of defending countries while they get free healthcare. And to the EU... it is free since we're covering their military debt. Same goes for Canada too. Technically, Trump is such a nice guy, that he's taking care of Iran for the EU. But that's the kind of guy he is... doing the right thing despite the insults. So, yeah, the Iran war isn't directly our fight, but it would have been anyway.
The more they bitch and moan about Trump the more solidified I am in knowing he's a good dude. Just a bunch of kids whining about having to get a job.
@Ariesman81Nshiiit I'd say you are mostly right
How? the E. U. charges Canada tarrifs. In 2026, 10 EU Member States STILL have not yet formally ratified the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement of 2017. ... National parliaments in EU countries – and in some cases regional ones too still need to approve CETA before it can take full effect.
In fact MAJOR economy FRANCE: French Senate voted to refuse ratification in early 2024, and Ireland too.
They can't deepen their ties, because Canada's elected officials are aligned with the Euroweenies, and like the EU's gov't, are placing their own and their families' priorities ahead of the Canadian citizens. This is what happens when Liberal/Socialist/Globalist elites are in charge; it's all about a larger, more powerful government, mass immigration, higher taxes and far fewer individual rights and freedoms.
The issue is that Canada wants to become butt buddies with China. Canada thinks that will be a good relationship until China gives them herpes!
Mark carney would rather a bad deal with China then a fair deal with the U. S.
No, we just want nothing to do with our insane fascist neighbor. We should build a wall and make the US pay for it.
@Billlewis 100% correct. Just saw news today that said Carney’s people have been coming to the U. S. meeting with officials from the DNC. Carney is attempting to sway the midterm elections.
@Danzigdawson you personally may want nothing to do with us but Canada but 75% of all products produced in Canada get sold to the U. S. so if we stop buying…. You go hungry.
@BadApple69 We don't need you and we'll sell our stuff elsewhere easily. Besides, if we ever "go hungry" because of you (😄), we'll just have to cut the power and stop providing electricity overnight to New York city and state, Massachussetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Minneapolis, Detroit and part of Michigan, Seattle and parts of Washington state, Oregon and California.
Didn't think this all the way through, huh MAGA idiot?
"Well we've got nuclear power plants". We provide almost all of your uranium, dumbass.
... and you may have all the timber you need in your forests, as trump proudly claims, but you have nowhere near the capacity of production and processing that our sawmills have. So, until you catch up, goodbye cheap lumber, hello even higher-priced houses! 😄 Seriously, how much are you willing to pay extra, just for that orange dickhead?
When Alberta becomes its own country Canada is done anyway.
Oh and just so you know 60% of your natural gas flows through the U. S. it’s not from us but its pipelines that go from west to east. We shut them down and you want be able to generate power for all those blue states you mentioned or yourselves. Personally… I couldn’t care less.
70+% of everything you sell currently is to the U. S. if that stops you think you’ll just sell it elsewhere? Who is knocking at your door begging for your goods?
China maybe… but they don’t want your goods… they want Canada. And carney will be glad to sell Canada to them (less Alberta of course).
Canada has been imposing tariffs on America for decades. I remember hearing about US dairy farmers pouring milk down the drain. I was in grade school and I remember my father trying to explain it to me. It really did not make much sense to me.
It is good to have a President that wants fair trade with our neighbors.
correct. also INSIDE Canada! 1, if a Canada dairy company sold more than its limit, then shops must stop selling from that company, so waste product pour out milk etc. 2, Canada charged tarrif on milk import from us. trump said cancel or we add tarrif but canada-
3, just add tarif! for these few products.
4, they said 'we won't buy jets from u. s. company' and 'stop sending 70% (of army buy) money to u. s." (company selling army stuff) as if the money will be local.
but Canada lacks industry for warplanes.
it is not local investment anyway. so just spite to buy sweden instead of ours.
It's nothing new? People treat this like it's unique.
Just more TDS and sensationalism
Why Canada has a terrible "U. S. Problem" / Hindsight
That's already happening. Contrary to the empty Trumpian "90 deals in 90 days" babble, Canada just goes and conducts successful diplomacy and trade negotiations.
They already have. Canada is the first non-European country to join the EU's Security Action for Europe (SAFE) initiative. They also have been developing deep ties in Asia.
The U. S. A has 13.5x Canada's gdp. If Canada's economy stopped interacting with ours it wouldn't even put a dent in the economy. Canada only has 2 million more people than California. California alone has almost double Canada's gdp.
Not to worry. The US and Canada will work things out.
yess!!💯 need to find reliable & fair global partners if the usa is no longer either
so ignorant we already have a trade deal with Canada. the Canada mexico one. no tarrif on 85% products.
this 'trade war' is about a few products. dairy and beer. but they fooled you!
if u can’t reply without resorting to ad hominem attacks then just don’t reply at all🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
@strateguy632 Hey, if you're angry with someone, don't take it out on her.
Canda's $2Trillion GDP is like a tick on our Hippo ass. And Carney wants to argue over $20B? GTFO
Except that your Orange Baby has done the same thing to sever meaningful bonds with the entire rest of the world economy... which by the way is 6 times bigger than the US in real terms.
@MrChinaski
Cutting off NATO and the EU will arguably go down as one of the greatest things a U. S. president has done.
Canada has no leverage. They will destroy they're industrial capabilities and become slaves to China, just like all the others who do.
Trump was right... they're behaving like a state while not being one.
@Ariesman81Nshiiit Hey dumbshit. Maybe the US doesn't need Canada, but we sure as shit don't need you either. We'll just take our business elsewhere. In case you haven't noticed, Canada is a fucking huge piece of land. We have more than plenty of natural ressources. In fact, we're only 2 ranks behind your "great" country when it comes to the overall wealth of natural ressources and we'll gladly do business with countries that aren't led by a fascist pedophile. You don't have uranium so get it from somewhere else at a higher price. We've got shitloads of natural gas, oil, timber, nickel and lithium. We can get all of the consumer goods we can think of from our own industries, China and the EU without any problem. So go fuck yourself: we don't need your cheap crap.
@Danzigdawson
Enjoy your Chinese anal raping. Sucks we'll have to build another wall because of Carney's ego, but... oh well.
Just remember, could have been 0% tariffs.
. Well, that's too bad... You'll just have to stay in your corner and pout while we go out and make other friends. If only you would have pondered a little less on the US' need of Canada and a little more on whether or not our little country actually needs you.
@Danzigdawson
Like I said... offer of 0% tariffs still stands.
But if you'd rather ship all of it overseas, over $20B... it's your right. Personally, I think Carney's gonna fuck you guys for a generation at least.
😄 If I were you, I'd personally worry more about trump fucking up your own country for a generation at least.
@Danzigdawson
Appreciate the concern.
Why not? They should leave Saskatchewan and Alberta to us. They want that.
What happened? I was in Hawaii all week and didn't have power in my hotel, so I didn't see the news
They should begin talks at least to put pressure on Trump&Co.
However Canada would need to construct way more railways east-west to faciliate the increased trade or it won't work.
Sure. Let Europe take the shitty Chinese imports.
Canada is being run by a globalist that hates the United States. He really hates the United States.
Yes, the United States is completely untrustworthy and unreliable.
What has just happened?
Canada should join EU
they can't don't you know who is king of Canada?
D**N SKIPPY !!!
Of course probably be better.
Hell yeah!
YES!
Yes.
