Depends on who is doing the censoring, and the context. Government keeping pornography out of public schools is good. Private people censoring what appears in forums which they own is okay. Censorship of political thought is verboten!

yes, as a concept for what it is responsible and makes sense... there's a time and space for everything, and some things shouldn't just be broadcasted so everyone is exposed to it

but no... for the other concept in which authoritarian figures do try or effectively control narratives to convenience

and connected to this, there's also the so-called "Freedom of Speech" which doesn't just give you a 'free license" to just go around and say whatever stupid insulting unhinged shit, or lies like it happens at certain places and it all gets out of control, that... no, that has to be measured

the stuff liberals censor for- is "fascist censoring opinions" using various excuses 'offensive' for opinions that are not insults. so fascist- censor is bad.

but censor for quality is justified.

in general censorship is bad unless the statement makes anyone look bad without real proof. "even" if it makes trump look bad it must be censored because it is not criticism of any policy. but liberals host defaming trump. so i get triggered.

Censorship is a weapon. It is used for mind control. I oppose it.

I don't care if people get offended. That's their problem.

The only censorship I condone would be blatant calls for conspiracy to commit violence. Also protecting children from certain things.

Depends strongly on what is censored and where. Kids shouldn't be confronted with everything on for example TV. Yes, I might be a bit old fashioned, but the same goes for X, TikTok and a lot more.

There are some things that children should not be exposed to. But adults can and should be able to decide for themselves what they want in media.
