Do you feel everybody wants to be weird/quirky but nobody wants to rebel against the modern society?

People don't want to be weird. People only want to be new and fresh and different as a brand but their goal is still to be popular and to follow the social rules of being a youtuber or influencer or whatever else. As an autistic person like people want to just be different enough to be interesting or draw attention but they never really want to like actually deal with the consequences of breaking social rules like autistic people do lol because they can see that won't lead anywhere good. People just want the "outsider" image but they don't actually want to be an outsider. Everybody wants to be embraced by other people that's one of our most fundamental needs.

First off rebellion is very risky for the people who are doing it and many can fail and then you could seriously destroy your life and secondly rebellions usually only happen once a system gets so bad that a group of elites is also negatively affected and then the elites lead the rebellion with the workers against the other elites and then the elites take over usually and rebuild the system.

People will always gravitate towards fight the power and things like that because it's cool the idea of it is great. And it looks great on a T-Shirt. Stopping the people who have been controlling things for a long time and making a completely new system with new rules and stuff. But in reality most people will rather go back to their apartment and lie on their bed way more than fighting with police in the street. The only thing that really will get people on the street is suffering (like famine or other kinds of crisis where people can't live their life normally anymore) or when someone is trying to take all the power for themselves or abuses the power or corruption etc. And even when all the people are on the street they could still get shot down and killed by the military or so this happens often around the world. People together do have power but the force is not always channeled in the right direction. There are success stories and there are also many failures. Where no change happens or where they kick out the government and someone just as bad comes in etc. It's a difficult thing. But in most countries as long as people can still have a place and eat and stuff people won't risk their lives for change.

The best way is of course to have a system where you don't need to protest for every change you can just vote. But a lot of democracies are not actually functional. There's far less democracies that actually work as intended than there are democracies that are just a charade.

I believe people are starting to wake up we're finding out things that we weren't taught when we were in high school it's complete opposite what we were taught and we're waking up and we don't like how we have been lied to and basically cheated and led into a big holding Corral people are talking now and things will happen I'm sure there's going to be a civil war someday because we don't want our kids or grandkids to go through what we see in the future happening but there's people all over America in Little groups that will someday be a big group and we all understand we're not meant to be treated like this we're not meant to be taken advantage of like this and we're not meant to live like this

Now most people don't believe what is happening right in front of them because they too afraid to do something about it is what it is they don't know what to do and instead of acting like a little sheep and just following nothing are following the wrong people they should be doing research to find out what is really happening right in front of our faces look at some of my questions that I've asked and there are people that give me a hard time because of the things that I say I would not say that if I did not believe in them if they were not right in front of my face

I guess the basic reasoning would be people are dumb. They want to go but they don't want to go all the way. Or I guess you could say taking the lazy way out. They want to be performatively weird/quirky/unique but they don't care about actually working harder to make a difference.

I think you nailed it. Hyper individuality is all the rage these days. That's why there are 50-60 different brands/flavors of cigarettes, despite fewer people than ever smoking, because they want to affirm their individuality by smoking a more obscure cigarette. But deviation from the groupthink party line? Never!

I don’t think everyone wanted to be weird/ quirky there’s a subset who do but most seems average being hoenst just wanting to get ahead in life.

I think traditional Western culture has its virtues The 80's 90's were pretty good. Bigotry and tribal hatreds were at low end.

Yes. Since the early 2000s it's been like this. I remember when things switched from Goths, Emos, Jocks, etc. to fashionably gay, quirky, etc.
